Introducing: Artcalynx

The Artcalynx (singular: Artcaling) are the primary denizens of the Artcana realm. At first glance, these intelligent felines look like natural cats and share their boundless curiosity, yet they are defined by a deep, innate magical potential. Because raw artcane energies fill these lands, many of them are born with extraordinary physical traits. These features serve as living proof of the magic that flows throughout Artcana.

Anatomy

Artcalynx stand roughly one-third the height of a human. Their heads are larger than those of average cats to accommodate advanced brains, which are more similar to a human's. They evolved to walk upright on their hind paws, and their front paws are capable of holding objects and using tools.
