Trust me on this, when I´m saying two things:

First of all...  !All your talented work is amazing!.

By watching it I believe you were almost same age as me,  with all your magnificent pieces of art, you pay homage to some of the most beautiful pieces of automotive engineering built ever!!!

I know technology and big corporations and commerce issues, nowadays  just bring down records and lap times, but I will  always be devoted to those "all times",  iconic great cars and heroes.

Having said that.  proudly I can  presume  about having the chance to personally breath and inhale the atmosphera of the racetrack, even hearing some of those heroes talking out of their cockpits or preparing to set a fast lap, running down the long straight of the track.

When you get to hear and see some of those roaring monsters passing right in front of your eyes, sometimes you only get to see a colored flashing moving objective passing like a bolt, just an instant before applying the brakes...

It really charged my soul for the rest of my life.

Besides all this, among my most appreciated belongings I keep some old magazine almost completely signed by Lauda,  Prost, Berger, Piquet, Rosberg "Sr", Mansell, and of course the "White Unicorn".

Senna  on the First Page.

I barely remember watching Pedro Rodriguez. but  since I was a little  child,- among other local good drivers -, I even have watched just once to Schumacher, whom, in my humble opinion, all in all, despite his 7 world tittles, I really  don´t consider  as the best race driver. Nor Prost or another bunch of good race pilots.  (Keep  on mind that, both, -Prost and Schumacher- due to Balestre´s FIA,   Ecclestone´s F1, marketing, corporative, political and financial interests-,  obtained their world titles with tumbled dices.

These days I consider Vettel as the Driver, all people and media wanted to make them believe Schumacher was , as an out of the league world champion, without really being that driver at all.

So, please believe me when I say:

Although, there was a lot of good race drivers, other outstanding real magicians behind the steering wheel, then champions, yet another more short list of amazing drivers and a  maybe a couple of true Legends. And only one "Saint Ayrton".

Please forgive me about all this "Brief Note" and my misspellings and grammar issues. English is not my original language, but I wanted to make my point and saying  to you that I really enjoyed going thru your whole gallery.

Sincerelly

LUDO

PS: If you visit my own gallery you can see some of my humble attempts at  trying to present my sincere " In memoriam" respects for two of them.

Senna .. This magnificent picture - the same wonderful, as is necessary for a great tribute to this unbelievable F1 driver..
I was 17 when it's happend.. Sometimes I remember this weekend. Barichello accident, Ratzenberger crash, unknown marshall was killed by shrapnels from Pedro Lamy's bolid, then fatal crash of Senna..

R.I.P. Ayrton

klem - thanks for magnificient art!

Instant fav :+fav:

I never watched him race :(. When I knew about Formula 1, it was 2001 (And I'm just 16 years old. I'm a unlucky).
But some casuality made what I heard the name of Senna once... and after I found info about him and now he is also my favourite driver ever.
He still rules, I said it.

Epic style colouring.

See you! ^^

Thanks for the comments, glad you like it. Senna is an idol now, i can still remember his fatal crash in Imola (i was 12 years old at the time and allready a huge f1 fan), i watch it live on the TV, i have to admit i was not his fan and wasnt particulary upset when he crashed, but later when the news came that he died, it really affected me badly... that weekend was the darkes in the history of f1 and i sincerily hope that nothing like that will ever happen again.

Wonderful job. Especially the Toleman in the rain.

Sadly it's just another reminder that I never got to see him race in the flesh.

Ah yes. The Professor Alain Prost. It was great watching them both duel. Especially in the rain. I have a lot of respect for him as well.

This is the one! My all time favorite. Ayrton Senna was and still is my favorite F-1 driver. It might interest you to know that I did a pencil portrait of him and sent it to his mother in Sao Paulo after his death. What a talent he was.

Thanks, i wasn't his fan at the time, i was a fan of Prost, but after his death i realised that he was a spectacular driver and it's a great loss for the sport that he is gone...

All your work is great..and i was curious on any technique and or mediums used in all of your works. What is your prodomantly used medium...Secondly, any classes? Or self taught? ...Finally how long have you been doing art in general, on average how long would it take to do a piece like the ones posted....I'm a big fan of F1 so this page is somthing else....sorry about playing 20 questions with you..just REALLY AMAZED BY YOUR WORK..

Thanks!,i will answer some of your questions. I use color pencils and some pastels aswell, i am self thaught,i'we been drawing seriously for about 5 years now and it takes me a lot of time to finish my drawings (i work slow and with precision), if i had to guess i would say i spend at least 75 hours on my average size drawing (50x35cm).Thanks again for the support;).

... and it is simply amazing. Might I ask how long you took on this one all up? I'm guessing many, many hours...

No matter what, the end result is well and truly worth the effort. A very fitting tribute to a legend. :salute:
