My Thanksgiving was funtimes. My family and I traveled down to Staten Island to celebrate Turkey Day with my Dad's side of the family. I got to see lots of my cousins that I hadn't seen since last year, or even longer. Dinner was delish, and afterwards we had our traditional Irish, alcohol-fueled music fest. 8DD Grab a guitar, the bagpipes, accordion, or something that can pass for an instrument and attempt to follow along. Gah. So much has happened since my last entry! Dx
- Spent two weeks in Belle Chasse, LA helping to rebuild the home of a Hurricane Katrina victim. An amazing experience...physically draining, emotionally invigorating. Lol, I also now have basic electrical and carpentry skills. Very basic.
- One day after I get home from Louisiana, and I was on my way back down south yet again. I participated in the Intelligence and National Security program through the National Student Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. Gah, it was so AMAZINGGGG. We got the chance to visit the CIA and NSA headquarters, which was super cool. ;]
Alright, last time I checked in it was the very beginning of Spring Break. I.e., eons ago.
So, about the colleges. I fell in love with SUNY Geneseo & Cornell. It figures I'd love the ones that I'm the least likely to be accepted at. Dx I found my feelings concerning SUNY Binghamton to be a bit neutral. Le Moyne was bleghhhh. I really kind of hated it...it just seemed like a shabbier version of my high school. All the students I observed looked bored and un-enthused.
