Warning: HUGE file!

This tutorial is made for Photoshop CS3, but I'm sure it will work for the newer versions, and also with the older versions. :]

And again: I'm sorry for my bad English! It's not my first language, so I'm sure this tutorial is filled with mistakes. :'D

If you have any questions, please send me a comment or a note, and I'll try to solve your problem(s). :) Please keep in mind that I don't know everything.

Also, this tutorial is made for tablets with PEN PRESSURE. If you don't have a tablet, this tutorial might still be useful, but I highly recommend a tablet for this one. :'D

I think your English is fine. :) I have some questions, though.

Newer versions of Photoshop don't have the splatter brushes or the "Other Dynamics" setting. Photoshop CS6, which is what I'm using, doesn't seem to (at least, I can't find either.) What would you recommend? Also, how do you know where to place the basic highlights and shadows in the hair?

Very nice. I didn't think of using different colors for shading until I saw this. Thank you!

In this version of photoshop that I'm using, the other dynamics option isn't there! and now I can't get the brush to look like how yours did! :(

Hmm, that's odd. :/
I used Photoshop CS3 for this tutorial, so if you don't have the 'other dynamics' option, I don't really know another solution for this. I just googled it, and for other versions of Photoshop there is an option called 'transfer' (instead of 'other dynamics'), there you can find 'opacity jitter' etc... Maybe that will work. I hope this helps! Good luck! :la:

Do you mean the 'other dynamics' option for the brush? This option has been replaced by 'transfer' in photoshop CS5, so you could alter your brush the same way as I did by clicking the 'transfer' option. You can alter your brush opacity etc there. (I don't use CS5 myself, but this is what I found with Google.)
I hope this helps! :D Thanks for using my tutorial.
