Botnomorphia: potato mine

Scientific name: Orycheiopatatum Desubterra

Length: 39-40 centimeters 

Potato mines are subterranean plant-like creatures that inhabits below the ground and are often used for defenses against zombies. They have narrow lighting structure on their heads, which are used for communication and sensitivity. however, they're classified as extremely dangerous towards anything that walks on them, which then explodes when any creature dares to touch or walk on it unknowingly.
also, potato mines can reproduce via detaching their heads and grow a new one, it is unclear how they adapted to this kind of reproduction, but it was assumed that the adaptation was easier than breeding through certain organs.

(also fun fact: potatoes are actually nightshades, which are closely related to tomatoes)
