But that's not really the focus here, there's more little trends they have been doing. Some that are...rather bizarre to say the least.
For starters, I've been noticing an onslaught of recolors they would make to be 'totally original' characters.Like these:

They didn't even try to make them look like completely different people, they look more like the actual characters got dumped in paint.
And I don't know if I talked about this before...this isn't even that much of a new trend, but am I the only one who tends to be irritated with certain human-styled spoofs? Now...it is possible to work around that with an all-animal cast (like Robin Hood for example), but I mean ones where humans already appear in the film, and adding humans as animals seems nonsensical and redundant.For instance...The Secret of NIMH. The main cast are all animals, with humans being a large, influential force. If the animals were played by humans...how would that work regarding NIMH and the farmers, who don't even see or understand them on the same level?
Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmations, Oliver & Company, and The Aristocats...all Disney movies with the main characters being pets with owners. If they're human...what's the point?
The Rescuers...the idea of the movie is about the smallest creatures being able to make a difference and help rescue a child in danger. Being human would take away that strong message and lose a lot of the tension.
All Dogs Go to Heaven...there's a disconnect with the humans and animals, kind of like with most Disney films aside from a few exceptions (primarily Anne-Marie who can actually speak to animals).
And arguably the most difficult one for this...The Brave Little Toaster. While this isn't a movie with animals, there is an even bigger disconnect. Because this takes place in a world where appliances are sentient beings, but the humans are unaware of that. That would be really difficult to have that make sense, even with animals to an extent. Toy Story is kind of similar as well with sentient objects (as in, the toys obviously), but you can at least argue that a lot of the characters are toy versions of themselves.
I know people are able to choose who they want to use, but I do think they can try to work around this better. For example, why not imagine a human character as a different species, but still managing to maintain their usual characteristics?
Another thing I noticed is how a few spoofers are among the Donald Trump hate bandwagon. Normally I wouldn't even care and probably even sympathize, but they literally use him for their spoofs as a villain. I already talked about using real-life people before (*COUGH*Selena Gomez*COUGH*), but this is still...ugh! There's just something wrong about that, no matter who it is. Donald Trump, whether we like him or not, is going to be our new president, and we're dealing with that for the next four years. I thought this was meant for fictional characters, possibly as a way to help cope with reality, so why bring Donald Trump into it?Well...I guess that'll be all for now. I just hope you can understand what I said and maybe even found this entertaining.
