Description

Selkies have always been fascinating creatures to me. I grew up with the story of the Selkie Bride and always found them a strange and beautiful part of fantasy and culture.

Considering that I am actually writing about a selkie, I figured it only appropriate to paint one. I've always meant to, anyway. Here, I took a little touch of inspiration from The Little Mermaid: a mythical creature longing for something and someone else in her life.
