Yeah, this just kind of... happened. Started out as "Can I do anything with the Space Wreckage?", progressed into something with an entire story hiding behind it.
That's what happens when people give me snow days. And now, if you don't mind, I'll just run off and see if I remember how to write. For a contest, not this.

Thanks! May or may not work out. When I try to write to someone else's requirements, my head shuts down and forgets what words are.
In that case sneak in your own story, just put all contest stuff in one lead paragraph and have one of your characters have a nightmare about it at the start.
I like this, I like the colors and composition. Really cool work!
