Hello I'm René Westerveld, or Kitsumeo here.

I have studied and put into practice the art of animation for more than a decade.  After a 5 year break, in which I pursued some of my other interests, which includes writing novels. I got back to my artistic passion. In 2019 I took the opportunity to learn from Steve Ahn and kicked myself into a higher gear during the pandemic years as a freelancer.

In my artistic journey I explore various 2D styles from shows that I like, which I try to master by drawing in their style. My ultimate goal is to work on an animated film or series with a studio and inspire others to create art.

I hope my work brings you joy and inspiration and serves as an example that as long as you're passionate about something you shouldn't give up!
