P R I M A R Y ~ I N F O

Name: Iorek
Name Pronunciation: You-or-rick (XD)
Nicknames: Io, Rekkie
Meaning Behind Name: Considering Iorek was born a Northern Region cat during the cold harsh leaf-bare moons, and being the only one born in that litter, Harper, Iorek's Mother, named her son after one of the Region's past Leader's. This was decided in hopes of making her kit stronger, since Iorek was born weak due to being earlier than predicted. Even today, the very name sets of a powerful and authoritative like aura to those who hear it. He was also named Iorek because of his thick fur and largeness.
Age: 51 Moons (Approximately 4 Years and 3 Moons)
Gender: Tom (Male)
Region: North Region
Rank: Leader
How He Earned Said Rank: Iorek started of as a Warrior in the past, and boy was that incredibly hard. At one point, the tabby done something he deemed unforgivable and ran for it, becoming a rouge without anyone noticing until too late. However, after two moons spent outside the Regions, Iorek came back and proved himself to his current Leader that he was worth a second chance. He was accepted, and the tom proved himself worthy enough. In fact, when the Advisor was killed, the Leader elected him as the new Northern Region's Advisor two seasons later, to which the tom served well for around a full year until the Leader herself died in a freak accident, causing Iorek to earn the rank of Leader.

~ Did I fall asleep? Is this all a dream? Wake me up, I'm living a nightmare! ~

S E C O N D A R Y ~ I N F O

Breed: Iorek is a cross between several species of cats. The main ones being a Norwegian Forest and a Turkish Angora. Although Iorek does have tabby traits along with a hint of moggie too.
Birth Season: Winter
Birth Month: December
Birth Day: 25th
Height: 11 inches
Weight: 4.2 kg
Accessories: [Accessories Made By Him] [2/2]
Silver Piercing - Iorek placed this accessory in his ear during his Rookie moons. The young tom at that time came across the strange looking silver piercing while out on a training assignment. Fascinated with the strange looking "shiny thorn", Iorek stole it and placed it inside his ear, wincing at the same time too. Sometimes the tom takes it out to clean the holes made, as well as when he's going to sleep. After all, it bugs him during sleep, and it is the only time Iorek can get comfortable.
Fabric Bag - During his first moon of being a rogue, Iorek started to pay attention to herbs and other medicinal needs he thought of when he was back in the Healer's Den. After all, his Mother was one of the Region's Healers, so she did show him a few basics. Knowing it may come in handy, Iorek came across some sort of fabric surface while out hunting and decided to use the substance to make a pouch. He also used a few oils to create a pattern on it, just to spruce it up a little.
Companion: Outulissa|Painted Short Ear (Short Eared Owl) - Although this female owl is incredibly stubborn and somewhat serious most of the time, she does make a good companion to Iorek! Her dappled feathers and markings are that of a pure bred owl, and whilst much more lither and smaller than the average Painted Short Ear, Outulissa does make good in speed, especially when she needs to send messages to others from her companion. The owl's loyalty towards the Leader allows her to get on well with him, and to Iorek she's the closest thing he has for a friend nowadays. Around her neck is where Iorek keeps his main Ability Stone, as she constantly sticks with him if not flying off for exercise or hunting somewhere.

P H Y S I C A L ~ A P P E A R A N C E

Scars: N/A

Natural Appearance:

Brief Description: Iorek is a long-haired tom with a dark brown tabby pelt. His underbelly is a more lighter, paler brown, while his markings are darker color than his main pelt color. He has broad-shoulders and whenever he walks you can see his muscles rippling slightly underneath his long coat. Iorek's ice-blue eyes mostly give off a sinister cold look most of the time, causing others to feel intimidated slightly. He has a bulky build, which makes him a slightly poor runner at best, but an amazing force on the battlefield. Iorek's voice mostly holds a slight rasp in it, and is most of the time lacking emotion or has a growl hinting in it too. Last of all, the tabby's scent is purely one of surprise, for he may look rough around the edges, but in reality, he really smells nice.

Detailed Description:

Pelt - Iorek's pelt is undeniably long. Considering he comes from a long line of long-haired breeds, the tom's long-haired coat helps him keep warm in the harsh seasons of Winter, something some cats don't have the privilege of. Iorek's feet are also covered by long fur, which helps with keeping his paws warm too. His tabby like markings are similar to that of his Father's, while his dark brown color comes from both Parents. The lighter underbelly is actually darker underneath if his fur is blown the wrong way, hinting that the tips a tinted with a light color. Because he has a thick long pelt, it takes time for it to dry if it get's wet, as well as cause Iorek to get hotter in the summer, much to the tom's irritation.

Ice-Blue Eyes - Iorek's ice-blue eyes are the exact replica of none other than his Father, Tuscan. The Leader uses this look of his to an advantage whenever he feels the need to intimidate someone or act authoritative. Usually his blue gaze is one of blankness, lacking any sign of emotion whatsoever. Whenever furious, it is a well known fact that Iorek's eyes will flare up, giving at a more dangerous appearance towards an enemy cat. Iorek's cold gaze also has a talent for telling a cat to be silent whenever speaking out of turn. Most importantly, his blue eyes finish of the constant hard stare he always wears.

Ears - Unlike most Region cats, Iorek's ears are more spaced out on his head. This is because he has a hint of sand cat heritage mixed in his genes from both parents, which deemed him to have this kind of appearance. What's unique about his ears are that it seems to help enable his hearing slightly, which can come in handy whenever he's trying to listen to someone. Another thing is that they too have signs of his long-hair. For instance, Iorek's ears show off ear-tufts, which seem to help keep his ears warm too. However, they were a subject of bullying in the past, considering they were a lot more larger during his younger days. Nowadays it doesn't bother him at all.

Build Iorek's bulky build is mainly from the amount of fighting has endured over the course of his entire life. Even though his scars aren't visible due to his long fur, Iorek definitely has enough experience. His broad-shoulders give him a more intimidating approach as well as his size. This is both a good and bad obstacle of his. Good because he can use his strength on the battlefield, especially when pinning down someone. Bad because his muscles make it hard for him to run long miles, making him a very poor runner indeed. Iorek's height also seems to come in handy, since he is capable of overpowering smaller cats if they turn out to be Followers.

Voice - Iorek's voice is mainly stern and raspy because of what he has endured in his life so far. The tom is also notorious for being blunt in what he says, expressing no emotions in return no matter what. But when he does, his voice usually hardens. Whenever furious, Iorek can add a slight growl to it just to express his true intentions. If upset, he'll try to disguise his grief by making himself sound strong. Whenever thoughtful, Iorek's rasp will soften up a little, as well as his brow furrowing into a frown. Sometimes when he's irritated the tabby tom will have a slight hiss to his voice just to show his irritants towards the cat annoying him.

Scent - Iorek's scent is surprisingly a nice smell. The tom's scent mainly consists of mint, along with a hint of lavender and pine. His current scent also includes his Region's signature scent, along with a hint of cinnamon too.

Ability: Secondary
Element: Ice
Stamina: Average (4/10 - 6/10)
Energy Points: 20
Ability Stones: 8
Spells Acquired:
Scratch|1/5 - The user's claws become lightly coated with whatever element they posses and can be used to scratch an opponent with them.
Tail Whip|2/5 - The user's tail becomes coated with whatever element they possess and whips their opponent with it.
Burst|3/5 - The user shoots whatever element they possess out of their mouth and/or paws. Only cats experienced with this move can perform with both at the same time.
Snow Fall|0/5 - Usually only used by young lovers to make romantic settings, or to cover fresh tracks in snow when running from battle, this spell makes it snow!
Frozen|1/5 - Causes whatever the user walks on to become covered and/or encased by a thin but strong sheet of ice. This is usually used in a similar way of water walking.
Snowcat|1/5 - A much more stable and simpler spell, this allows the user to create a small body of a cat made out of pure snow. Of course, this spell is used mainly for cats that are feeling lonely, or, if the user is a parent, to entertain their kits with for a while.
Cold Feet|2/5 - Allows the user to freeze an opponent’s feet to the ground and temporality give the opponent frost bite.
Cold Winter Winds|2/5 - Allows the user to create a gust of chilly, snow filled wind, lifting already existing snow up off the ground, or creating it out of thin air. During a battle, this spell is usually essential to use first to create snow to use for other spells.
Glacial Supremacy|3/5 - Allows the user to lift sheets of ice from the ground to form a more spectacular thing. Be it an ice structure like a bridge to cross over a river, or to create a beautiful ice sculpture, all of this requires concentration and skill.
Snow Gust|3/5 - Similar to Snow Fall, but a lot stronger, this spell creates a strong, gusty snowstorm.
Blood Chill|4/5 - Almost as dangerous as Blood Take-Over, but not quite, this allows the user to chill the enemy's blood, slowing them down and nearly freezing them internally.
Impale|4/5 - The user makes sharp towers of ice shoot up from the snowy ground, impaling the user’s enemies. This can only be used when the surrounding area is cold.
Abominable Snowcat|5/5 - Unlike this spell's counterpart, Snowcat, this allows the user to create a larger living body of snow in the form of a larger cat, whether it be a tiger, lion or leopard. This requires a lot more concentration and energy, and could make unstable minds crumble to unconsciousness from its sheer power. However, the results can be quite remarkable, considering this snowcat can be used as a puppet from simple commands until it is either smashed or melted away.

Sexual Info:

Sexuality: Heterosexual (Straight)
Mate: Glendower
Status: Open/TAKEN
Kits: N/A
First Kiss: Glendower
Other Kisses: Glendower
Lover Type: Iorek finds it very hard to express his true emotions when it comes to love. Of a matter of fact, Iorek turns from a stern, cold tom into a nervous, embarrassed mess. He can be incredibly embarrassed at first, but as he accepts the fact that he loves a cat, he would do anything for her. Heck, he'd even act romantic towards her too, which is a very rare side of his that is only seen by a few cats from time to time.
Preferences: Iorek doesn't care about looks; so long as the she-cat catches his eye throughout what she has done or a trait in her personality that stands out from the rest. After all, the tom likes a cat who impresses him and stands out from the rest, which is very hard for almost every cat. Although there is one thing Iorek wants in his possible mate; a cat who isn't intimidated by him.

Positive: {Cunning} {Brave} {Honorable} {Protective} {Tolerant} {Confident}
Neutral: {Ambitious} {Loyal} {Strict} {Intimidating}
Negative: {Harsh} {OCD Clean-Freak} {Sadistic} {Insomniac} {Ill-Tempered} {Sarcastic/Cynical}

Cunning - Iorek's best traits of his personality is that he is an extremely cunning tom. The tabby can come up with strategies to use in the future if the situation calls for it. Iorek is undeniably a type of cat who thinks before doing, especially during battle. To him, a cat who doesn't use their head is more or less a fool than a brave Warrior. Iorek's cunning is also the reason how he managed to talk his way back into the Region, thinking of what to say that would likely have a good outcome. Iorek likes to think that way, even when he's training a Rookie of his own, just so everyone knows that he isn't one to be easily fooled. In fact, Iorek takes great pride in this trait.

Brave - Bravery is something Iorek was born with. Ever since he first opened his eyes, Iorek is known for his courageous and daring acts, always putting himself in danger for others. He doesn't care about the risk; all that matters is the lives he needs to protect with all he has to offer. The tabby is never hesitant to barge into the midst of battle in order to help those among his Region. He'd quite reluctantly die for them if it came to that, even though he usually admits that he "would want to live another day." During his rogue moons, Iorek learned the very true meaning of his bravery when he had to face the harsh reality of the Land he lived in alone with no-one else.

Honorable - As Iorek matured into the tom he is today, he learned what it was like to protect order and honor. Iorek would never betray his Tribe, as well as not kill a cat unless necessary. After all, Iorek believes that honor is the key to binding the Regions together, and no matter what the cost, it must always be protected and kept the same way. If a cat shows none of this, Iorek will most likely grow to hate the cat and may even give them one hell of a talking too. This side of him also brings out his respectfulness too. Mainly towards his Leader, but sometimes, on rare occasions, he will honor the life of a cat died for their cause and Region.

Protective - If anyone or anything dares to threaten his Region or the cats he loves, they have another thing coming! Iorek will most definitely do anything in his power to protect those whom he cares for. Even his very own Region he would die for. Iorek will most likely put himself first before any others. Even if it meant war, he would not hesitate to risk his own well being for the sake of others. If someone got hurt, he would help them in whatever way possible. If a Rookie is caught being bullied by others, Iorek will most likely come up from behind the gang and demand what they think they are doing and reassure the bullied cat that if any problems afterwards he only has to tell him.

Tolerant - Although he may not look it at all due to his expressions and tone of voice, Iorek is actually pretty tolerant. Even if a cat whom the tabby tom dislikes so much annoys him, he will not just attack them out of the blue. Instead, he'd actually try to ignore them and rudely tells them to leave him be. This trait also comes in handy when dealing with a Rookie of his own, considering he can just act patient and stern at the same time. This trait can also be known as patience, which is quite surprising to those who don't know the tom very well at all. But no matter who or what, Iorek will always maintain his composure and disguise it using hisses or his notorious sarcastic tone of voice.

Confident - Iorek is extremely confident in any actions he thinks of or does. This trait helps him look trusting and gain much respect from those around him, along with some trust around fellow North Region members. He is also very confident in speaking in-front of crowds, making it look like it's incredibly easy. Iorek never doubts the actions of his current Advisor, always sticking to them whenever they need him and the rest of the Region. Even when he makes up some strategies, Iorek may sometimes calculate how the turnout may be if put into action. Even if it is a little unlikely, Iorek will give it a shot, even if it meant life or death.

Ambitious - In the past, Iorek's ambitions strived inside him. As a kit, he always dreamed to become the Leader of his Region, which slightly worried the cats around him. After all, his Father recently was exiled after being found out to be a traitor working with The Followers. As he grew up, it became clear to everyone that Iorek's true ambitions were in becoming Leader. However, that power hungry like nature left him completely after two moons as a rogue. This trait is a neutral of his because, even though he has now reached his goal as Leader, Iorek may sometimes have a spark of jealousy hidden deep within himself.

Loyal - This trait surprisingly comes down as a neutral trait of his. While most of the time Iorek is extremely loyal, sometimes he too, can do things that he regrets. One of them being made in the past, which still seems to haunt him to this very day. Iorek, though confident in himself, sometimes questions his true loyalty. Sure, he stays by his Region at all costs, but what if he makes a mistake that he would regret? It may even cost him his place in the Region. What if he accidentally destroyed a stone because of some certain cat's words in the past? This fact also comes from the bad side of his ambition, making Iorek fear that one day he might give into his darker side and lose his sanity completely.

Strict - Iorek's strictness depends on the situation and mood he is in. If he is feeling incredibly grumpy, he would give out an intimidating approach towards his unfortunate victim. The tabby usually would dislike the cat for being foolish enough for disobeying orders or the rules. Even when training, Iorek makes sure the Rookie under his training gets everything right. He would make them do a move over again until it is perfect enough to his liking. If they disobey an order, he would need no permission but his own to have them clean out the Elders bedding. His strictness also makes him a good commanding officer as some would say it.

Intimidating - Iorek's appearance is not something that most cats would approach. After all, the tabby tom doesn't exactly look or act welcoming. Not with his ice-blue eyes and large height, along with his broad-shouldered build too. Even the most boldest of cats may feel slightly uncomfortable in his presence. Iorek doesn't seem to care that this makes cats avoid him at times; he can most certainly use this to his very well-being. For instance, Iorek will be able to make himself more authoritative in front of all the Regions presence, as well as look extremely terrifying whenever telling off someone or giving them a look.

Harsh - No matter what someone did that is against the rules, Iorek will come up with a harsh way to punish them. For instance, he would treat a full-grown cat as a Rookie by giving him the Rookies duties. When training, Iorek is known to never give any of his Rookies rest. If they haven't satisfied his goal, he will make them redo it again and again until they have met his expectations. It's not really his own fault exactly; he too, was trained by a strict and harsh mentor after his first one died. Living two moons alone didn't exactly help either, for it only just seemed to make him believe that reality itself is harsh, and those who endure it can survive through the toughest of any sort of situation.

OCD Clean-Freak - Iorek is one of the most worst clean-freaks to have ever been born in the Regions! And all of this came from the living conditions he had endured as a rouge. He was so filthy that he began to grow a little obsessed in ridding his pelt of tangles and all other sorts of um-hygienic stuff. Soon it became an obsession for him, which resulted in Iorek cleaning his surroundings up too in the Camp. If anyone comes across the North Region's Camp, they'll be slightly surprised to see that the area is nearly as clean as it could be, especially the Dens. It has also become one of Iorek's favorite ways of punishment; get the cats to clean up the Dens.

Sadistic - This trait doesn't count to those in his Region, but those to any opposing forces, mainly The Followers. If an enemy of his is wounded and needing assistance, Iorek will not help at all. Instead he would relish in the cat's spilled blood, saying that they deserved to die for betraying the Regions and trying to destroy the stone fragments. He may also compare them to his younger, aggressive self in past, saying that he understood them completely well. He doesn't realize that he is very sadistic in his methods against any traitorous cats out there. Iorek doesn't seem to understand either that every cat should be given a chance to redeem themselves.

Insomniac - Iorek is haunted by nightmares. Especially ones of how he had murdered his ex-friend and exiling himself without the Leader's word. Iorek is masked in guilt ever since then, and sometimes fears going to sleep. In his sleep Iorek may whimper and sweat, with ragged breathing until he wakes up or someone does it for him. So it's no surprise that there are dark bags underneath his eyes every morning, and that he is as grumpier as ever with fellow members. Sometimes the tabby wishes that he couldn't sleep at all, so he doesn't have endure such torture in the time that should be peaceful and calm.

Ill-Tempered - One of his most notorious traits ever. Iorek is constantly always in a foul mood. Many say it's because of his lack of sleep, while those closer to him may believe it's because of what he had endured throughout his entire life. Whatever the reason, Iorek only knows about it. The tom tries his best not to snap out at anybody, but that always seems to fail completely. The tabby tom constantly wears a cold demeanor on his face, eyes narrowed all the time. There are some rumors out there that explain that the tom doesn't smile at all. That is partially true. All in all, Iorek takes most of his constant mood out on giving orders, cleaning, training and so forth.

Sarcastic/Cynical - Iorek can be extremely sarcastic and cynical at the same time whenever he is one of his ill temperaments. He doesn't seem to care if he accidentally upsets a cat with his choice of words. This trait also points towards his well known "bad mouth", in which he may curse and call those younger than him "brats" although that is very rare. He is mostly cynical too when it comes to a cat's dream that he finds highly foolish and unrealistic at the same time. He doesn't mean to do this once again, Iorek just doesn't seem to know his own limits when it comes to this situation. This is a trait the tabby dislikes about himself, wishing he could just get rid of it from time to time.

Role-Play Examples:

Taken from a RP using my THK character Damu:

Smiling when he saw his little sister awake, Damu nudged her in a augur manner. "Mom's telling a story of her encounter with the snake!" he explained briefly before hearing Nyoka's words. After she finished, the red cub's green orbs lit up. So she had kept skins of the snakes from her encounters? And they were in his Father's den! This made Damu think for a moment. "Can we see them later? Me, you and Kutu? If she's interested that is..." he asked, trailing off as he cast his gaze on the darker red pelt of Kutu.

The red tom than began to imagine himself encountering his first ever snake. Would he kill it? Or would Nyoka come and kill it, just like her Mother had on her first encounter with the sneaky serpent? No, he would kill it and take one of it's fangs as a little trophy to prove to his Mom what he did. Not only that, but it would show he was brave for a cub his age! And maybe... just maybe Vumbi would notice him as something more than a useless cub...
