...opening portals to the 40k universe ARE WE (on top of Halo, SW, and Pokemon at minimum) wow, these guys sure think they are wearing the big boy pants, dont they?

....very dangerous move treating the 40k galaxy as a loot pinanta. given its canonical the warp is pretty much a multiverse wide force (even if the strength or even presence of the chaos gods in any given reality is variable) these guys are REALLY playing with fire.

Heaven help who knows how many other realities if they tried to take something from the dark mechanicus and it turned to be infected with scrap code...

okay, thats gitting too much into nitty gritty of 40k lore i suppose, but while this advantage of theirs is powerful, it could so easily lead them into contact with too big of a fish.

don't know if getting a tyranid bioform through their end of the portal, creating a vector for chaos corruption, or getting the attention of the dark eldar would be worse for these guys.
