When Wave first met Sonic, she saw his plane and decided to make it an Extreme Gear, not being able to understand why Sonic was so angry, as she saw a plane as something archaic and wanted to make something more practical and advanced for him.
During her adventures, she is always building new equipment for Sonic, being happy that Sonic responds back with great gratitude, recognizing her talent and that even though Wave has a big ego, her heart is just as big.
Being Amy's target in the past, Wave loved to make fun of Amy for thinking that the Swallow wanted to "steal the love of her life", being more of a rivalry on Amy's part than Wave, despite the fact that nowadays they are great friends and laugh at how their dynamics were in the past.
Wave is more of a snob, because of her knowledge of mechanics and Extreme Gear, she tends to be full of self-confidence.
Although Knuckles hates Wave's gigantic ego and always gets a headache over how talkative she is about her inventions, he likes the gadgets she creates.
She manages to be very honest and speaks her mind of others face to face. She even uses her insults as a weapon, not being afraid of other people's negative opinion, however much she may insult them. Even getting indignant when someone underestimates her mechanical abilities, mainly because she is very critical and attentive to details.
She and Sonic love to make fun of their enemies whenever possible, making for a strong and scary dynamic.
Admiring Sonic as her great partner, she recognizes him as an excellent team leader and a wonderful friend, as much as they can sometimes argue.

Due to his abnormality, Tails was bullied during his youth even when he started working for the Witchcarters, who use the fox boy's scientific abilities to their advantage. One day, however, he met Jet the Hawk and was inspired to become just as cool as he was after seeing him on an Extreme Gear, fast as the wind. Tails soon after began following Jet on his adventures in crime and has since become his best friend and sidekick.
Jet admired the boy's talent and saw him as a great tool for his team, thus teaching him all the steps of a true thief.
With Tails' intelligence and Jet's skills, the two were an unstoppable duo.
Storm sometimes mocks Tails because of his age and being the shortest in the group, so the two live arguing and fighting.
Tails began to have more self-confidence due to Jet's massive influence on his character. For a long time, Tails was a victim of bullying, now he is the bully.
He insults others and takes pleasure in doing so to hurt those who challenge him, as he felt good doing it as a form of power and superiority, despite being very insecure when his victims counterattacked, especially when someone made fun of Jet.
