I've decided to make a new cosplay gallery to have a better gallery and also to somewhat "get a name" as a cosplayer. I watch some people on deviantart who have become successful by cosplaying and sometimes I just tell myself... wow. I wish I could be such a person. It will also clear out my gallery somehow xD
Thus, I just felt like I needed a fresh start.
But that doesn't mean that this account will be inactive! In fact, I'll keep it and try to upload some fan arts or other works that I do that doesn't relate to cosplay on this account. I also want to keep it because I can see how my art improved in the past years.
If you want to follow m
We finally gave our "personnal project" to the teachers! Gosh, it was like giving a part of my soul. (and I'm being serious)
So this weekend is the first one I can really call a weekend! Because I have (practically) no homework! Too bad it as to be wasted because I've caught a seasonal cold... pff :/. At least I can play on the nintendo 64. It kinda cheers me up to play my favorite games :)
Anyway, I've recently being gathering some cosplay ideas for Otakuthon 2012. I want a cosplay that will relay on workmanship rather that accessories, because I prefer to sew and that I need to work on that badly. Zelda looked great on the outside, but sh
I've just learned that I've been accepted into my dream college/school! I am very happy!
Next year I'll be able to study Fashion Design and maybe even costume design at Lasalle College in Montreal! I'll have to move to my grandmother's place, but I'm still very happy about it :D
It's funny because I've only entirely seen the school yesterday. Anyway - I'll work very hard for my dreams to happen! And I'll sew and have even more projects to come
Anyway... I don't really know how to put my feelings into words right now. It's quite a big step foward in my life! I can't wait to go!
This year was the fifth time I went to G-Anime. I've been here ever since it opened, it is so close to my place and it is probably by far my favorite convention! The place is neat, its not too big and you get to meet people a lot more than if you are at gigantic conventions.
I've been there the 3 days it lasted. Friday wasn't very big for me, I just went all dressed up in Sweet Lolita (it was my first time wearing lolita in puclic too!). I've brought Dorothy with me because I was pretty much alone (she had an homemade skirt and bow with a very cute blouse from Alice's Collection). I went to a panel about masquerade judging to get some more i
Merry christmas and happy holidays everyone! I hope you had lots of fun yesterday and still will for the whole holiday break :)
I also hope that you aren't as sick as I am at the moment, because it ruins the day and doesn't let you eat all the good food.... anyway.
During the next two weeks, I am going to try to finish most of the sewing part of my Zelda Cosplay - G-anime is on january and I feel like I did not finish a lot of stuff! At least teh crown, skirt, elf ears and belt are 100% done.
I just wanted to update very quickly.
I'm not active because school gives me a lot of work, and studies comes first. That and also because I've been working very hard on my Zelda Cosplay.
I miss sewing little things for my dolls and coloring my drawings with markers... I feel like times goes by so fast that I don't have time to do everything I want to do!
That being said, I've decided to become more active on twitter - https://twitter.com/#!/Kisshu_neko The username is Kisshu_Neko.
I've also started a blog that is mainly about dolls, fashion and daily life - http://rose-pastel-vintage.blogspot.com/
I will try to post pictures of finished
So it has been a bit more than 3 weeks since school started and more than a month since Otakuthon. I tought it would be a good idea to tell you what I am doing now since I am short of inactive (altough I go on DA every day).
First, I wanted to tell you guys that I've finally started working (for real) on my Princess Zelda cosplay. I've been doing a lot of research and paperwork for it, but last week I've started making her triforce earrings (which I am going to try writing a tutorial about) and, after months of searching in vain, I've finally found the main fabric to make her dress! It's not silk of taffetas as I wanted, but it looks beautif
...Was tons of fun!
This convention is so difficult to describe because so much things happened in just two days!
Saturday, Cookieschao (https://www.deviantart.com/cookieschao), my friends and I went to the con cosplaying as King Kazma, Natsuki and Natsuki's avatar. When we were all together, it was difficult to move of a meter without being asked for pictures! We also entered the masquerade and had the most awsome experience up to date. I just couldn't believe it when we walked on stage: people were cheering and rooting for us so much! It is really one of the best things that can happen while cosplaying. The only thing I regret a little is making weird faces on stage sometim
I just wanted to tell you guys that I will not be innactive (well I already was but I did not have access to the internet at that moment) for the next 2-3 weeks because I am currently traveling in Canada with my family.
For the past five days, we passed trough Ontario (4 days) and Manitoba (1 day, which was today :o). I'm currently in Saskatchewan and have access to free internet in the camping, which makes me very happy ^^
That being said, I really will not be active, and that's on all of the sites I go to, such as tumblr, facebook, deviantart and everything you may think of... ok maybe not. :XD:
At least, I've finished the whole sew
Hi people! How have you been?
I haven't updated my journal for quite a long time. Or maybe it's just me loosing my sense of time ._.
I am still working on my cosplay of Summer Wars, and I'm happy to have finally finished Natsuki's hakama, which was quite hard to sew. It was my first time sewing pants, and I like how they turned out :)
Now, I must make her belt, her ears, her white shirt and that kind of white fabric she has to hold her sleeves. I choose not to make the boots because I wouldn't be able to obtain a realistic effect by covering a pair of boots like I did for my Perona cosplay. I wish to be able to finish everything in two wee
I've finally finished my last exam yesterday... now it's vacation time :D
So I am going to work hard and finish Natsuki in June or in July, hopefully. Right now I am working on her hakama, which looked easy since it's only made from rectangles... but it really isn't. Rectangles are the most painful thing to sew at full scale. Really! Fortunately they are very practical to sew a lot of clothes... after that I'll probably work on the kind of obi she has, then do the white "kimono" and the boots.
I'm just worried about the wig, since our mail system is stopping its services because of the syndicates. Seriously. Anyway, I must search for a good
I just wanted to tell you guys that I was and still will be quite inactive for some time. I had and still have exams so I must study and I don't have much time for sewing or drawing, which I don't like but oh well... school is more important.
Also I just wanted to say that I am still working on Natsuki (summer wars) and that I'll be working on Zelda right after she is finished. I'm currently doing some reasearch for shoulder armors and stuff like that, so if you have any suggestion by any chance it would be appreciated ^^
Also, I really don't know what my "personal project" for school will be, but after Zelda my friends and I would lik
