Windows 7 Navigation Buttons Customizer is a freeware from door2windows that allows you to change the navigation buttons in Windows 7.

How To Use:

  1. Close all running apps.

  2. Run the tool as administrator.

  3. Select the bitmap that you want to change.

  4. Click Change Selected Bitmap.

  5. Select the new bitmap and click Open. If you don't have any bitmaps, get some from here.

  6. Now the Windows Explorer will restart and you will be able to see the new bitmap.

If you change all the bitmaps, you can get a cool look.

To restore any bitmap, just select the bitmap and click Restore Selected Bitmap.

The option to change navigation buttons doesn't show up in CustomizerGod on Windows 8.1. I followed instructions for a theme that said to use OldNewExplorer + Windows 7 Navigation Button Changer. It's a theme for Windows 8.1 that tells me to use this app, which is no longer available because link only lets me download CustomizerGod...

Where can I get some bitmaps for this?
Kishan-Bagaria's avatar
You can try searching "windows 7 navigation button bitmaps" on Google and DeviantArt.

I have tried and no matter how much I search, all I get are links and articles for the customizer itself.

Hey do you have the bitmaps for the Windows 10 buttons? I bought CustomizerGod but I need a template
Kishan-Bagaria's avatar
You can export them from CG but they cannot be modified.

It's not possible to change the back buttons? Hmmm... I just installed a theme that does that though. hmmmm I'll look more into this. Thanks!

whenever i try to change the nav buttons in CustomiserGod it says 'select some resources first'. How do I fix this?
AeliosZero's avatar
Never mind I figured it out. I had to click on one of the images on the page for it to work.
Still can't run the CustomizerGod it tells me it stopped working :(

Hi, I'm trying this on my new installation of Win7 Ultimate 64bit, but it immediately says "This program has stopped working." Is there anything I can do to fix this?

i downloaded it from your website and my antivirus-app tells me it is a trojan.... :-(

i still cant get the navigation buttons to work... using customizer god and the .bmp files but it just shows up blank after applying.  Any ideas?
Kishan-Bagaria's avatar
Did you try different .bmp files? Try any random .png file in CustomizerGod and check if it gets changed or not.

Well i have been tried on all Win 7 versions but somehow it doesn't worked, it does not changing at all, it only worked on win 7 professional 64 bit.
And i recommend you to redesign this app to use .png files instead of .bmp (.bmp files not stable and hard to read by applications, .png files are better because the are easy to use and read and occupies way less space).
But anyway it's a good and easy applications.

CustomizerGod supports .PNGs and 64-bit: door2windows.com/downloading.h…
