I tried it now, it worked for me. Can you please try again? If it still doesn't work, please tell me when and how you experience the problem.

i love that it's a no-nonsense program. no data or programming wasted on 'making things pretty', just a basic, minimalist tool. guaranteed i'll give it a go.

Interesting… but I think that many issues can rise… like if the file is a new file we need to save (CTRL+S), enter a name, press ENTER, and then it's saved.

Can be limited then, but interesting. Well I use HotkeyMaster that use a "Script" system with basic "C" conditions and internal arguments, but i will try your app : )

i can't get HotkeyMaster to even start up. no matter how i tell it to run (even forcing it to), there isn't even the slightest hint that it's done anything whatsoever.
i've tried to find a solution to this and what i say next i mean sincerely and without any exaggeration: your comment is the closest thing i have found to a solution.

Well that's just for the first time, once you've saved the file with a name, subsequent saves won't require any interaction.

Yeah it's what I said, but adding a way to enable other keyboard inputs can be great : )

Do you mean an option to change the Ctrl+S hotkey, or something else?

Sorry, I didn't really think when I responded ^^"
But more like a way to add new Key commands, and maybe using an "auto type" feature to enter a name, like Retrieving the name of the window or process, adding a timestamp, …

I didn't tested your app for now, I think that I will use this mainly with notepad++ or photoshop, my NPP have autosave but photoshop crash a lot (don't have the needed ram I think) then in this way it's already usefull.

At the end I can do all of this with HotkeyMaster too…

Oh, now that I am on it, I tried your "Start menu user frame changer" and it didn't work (no changes), and the start orb changer is reset when I restart explorer(.exe), I really want to change the user frame but your app is surely the only easy way possible.

Interesting... so does this mean it would trigger the "Enter"/"Return" key press for programs that open a Save dialog?
Kishan-Bagaria's avatar
Nope. It only press Ctrl + S after the interval of time that you set.

why not just use the actual autosave built into most editing programs?
Kishan-Bagaria's avatar
Not all apps have that feature.

Yes, I realized after sending the message. Art programs especially don't have that feature.

Simple but useful.
