A large kise stretches out lazily at the feet of her owner, chin resting on a plump velvet cushion like an oversized house cat. A lazy eyelid lifted as she rolled her head to gaze up at her owner’s face, or rather what little she could see from her perspective. She smelt… tense, a coiled spring ready to explode. One ear pricked up when the humming began, accompanied by the rusting of paper and light footsteps that dared approach her master in such a mood. A dark eye peers around to watch the servant make their approach and undergo their ritual of bending over before handing over a small pile of papers, with an air of disinterest in the lazy kise’s eye. Keeping her eye open just long enough to see the servant bow once more, Lavalamp settles back down to her light slumber. Rarely does the behemoth of a kise truly slip into a deep sleep, always alert and ready to spring into action the moment a threat arises. Such had been her life for as long as the kise cared to remember. She could
