The single arched stone bridge of Kokkorou named after its sponsor dating back to the 1750's. It was a magical misty sunrise and I hope I managed to capture some of the magic with this photograph.

The title is of course from the Lord of the Rings and if only there was a dark rider crossing the bridge by the time I was taking the shot. Here is a question for you, if you imagine a horse crossing it which direction would it be going? Left to right or right to left?

If facing north, left to right, (Frodo riding Bill the pony after he was wounded at Weathertop). This would be a shot of the Last Bridge west of the Ford of Bruinen.

Beautifully done! Did you have to place your tripod in the river to do this? That water looks cold.

Yeap I had to but was in the shallows so it wasn't that cold.

"To Rivendell, where elves yet dwell
In glades beneath the misty fell
Through moor and waste we ride in haste
And whither then, the cannot tell"

Where oh where in our real world is this? Looking at the rock formations behind, I surmised China but the word 'Kokkorou', particularly the suffix 'rou' sounds more Greek. I'd love to know!
