Can/ Soda Tab Chainmail Vambrace Tutorial

A special thanks to my brother who played hand/arm model for me for a few of the shots.
This tutorial came out of a number of people interested in a little side project I have been working on, involving - you guessed it - making "chainmail" out of can/ soda tabs. I tend to like creating things out of recyclable products and saw soda tab chainmail on youtube about two months ago. I was amazed and had to give it a try. Funnily enough, it is super easy and looks pretty cool.
I encourage everyone to give it a try - I'm happy to give pointer wherever I can. And it doesn't have to be a vambrace - it could be a necklace or piece of jewellery... of a full chainmail suit out of this weave.
If you do give it a go - please drop me a line to show me what you created. I would love to see!

Vision Originality Technique
ImpactThis was a great idea. This could be used in larping, or cosplay. The vambrace almost looks like an authentic chainmail vambrace. This tutorial could also be a starting type for using chains to make a chainmail. I mean the concept for chains would be slightly different than tabs, but it could work as a refrence. This is very original, to use soda tabs. The vision gets, I would say, stuck in the mind as a fun thing to do. Technique is wonderful, with how the tabs can be layed together, and then with the lace. Expecially when the final image is shown, and it can be corset tied. I think this is just absolutely wonderful, and thank you for making this.

And the tutorial itself is very cool, too. I think you explained everything very nicely and easily understandable. I've got one question though: If you don't wear anything underneath do the tabs leave scratches on your skin?

I don't know if you've had this question asked of you before, but have you had your tabs come 'undone'? As in, do they come unhooked? I'm attempting to make a chest chainmail and some of my tabs have come unhooked. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.😁
I find that if they are weak, it is easiest to replace them.
