Description

A presenter from NASA came to my college and I was really inspired by them and in turn inspired to draw. I dont really post guy drawings on here much even though my sketchbook is MOSTLY filled with men xD So I wanted to draw my future space husband...

(Also Ive started watching JoJo Bizzare Adventure recently and got there are some BEAUTIFUL POWERFUL MEN lololol)

EDIT: literally forgot I had a layer hidden balancing saturation LOL, it changes the drawing quite a bit

heyy I'm Tabs from ProjectComment and this caught my eye in the No Constructive Comments project! Supportcomment

The color along with the body language/expression caught my eye the most. I love the orange and purples, but that might be because those are my fave colors too. They complement each other greatly and gives the character and even more striking appearance and outgoing personality. I like how the whole piece is united by the way your lines look and are placed seemingly effortlessly and with general lines rather than finely drawn ones. The way the color is applied gives it a plastic-y and somewhat shiney effect to the clothing, but most of all it gives it a cool amount of different hues(?).

I like the nose ring in the middle that ties in the orange-yellow-beige colors, also the bright expressive eyes. It goes well with the beige arms and collar. I like how the collar also looks like a space helmet would fit into it, and it gibes it an extra interesting halo effect around the character's neck.

The hair looks like purple fire, from the way it's painted and flows out to the left (which is good in contrast to the lean to the (my) right). I really like the shading with short small dark lines, and it helps give his chin and beard more texture and roughness.  The skin is amazingly done and i love the complexion and use of lighting and shading to give the character a rounded look without too much 3D effect. Finally, the little green sprouts every were are just darling, and I like how they tie into the somewhat free-handed lines throughout the piece. The plants give a sense of unitiy and an extra pop of color, which also goes well with the complementary colors of orange and purple. And then the background also has a really cool texture to it, almost like  beams of light are in the distance bg, and the sparkling stars look more like stardust covering him. I guess if the stars int he background were smaller and finer, they would give a very realistic bg style contrasting against the painted look of the character.
