Bombshell
The darkness of the night twists
The cold in the air is sinister
The burning hatred shifts
Sanity and reason splinter, shatter
All hope is lost as the flame goes out
And the world is again filled with doubt
No trust left but for those of bane
No reason left but for those of the insane
No peace left but for those who hath slain
No justice left but for those who feign
In the end there is nothing that matters
In the end there are only the embers
It has happened once before
Here it is, ready to prey
And though it was promised nevermore
This time the darkness is here to stay
The world is nearing its demise
Death by virtue, through sadistic lies
No trust left but for those of bane
No reason left but for those of the insane
No peace left but for those who hath slain
No justice left but for those who feign
In the end there is nothing that matters
In the end there are only the embers
Trust, reason, peace and justice
Slaughtered in the pale moonlight
La Donna is alone, dead and bloodless
But non

The Run Around
Time will heal all wounds, little sister
The pain of today will fade with each morrow
It may hurt you now but give it time
And you will forget, you will survive.
But when the days are dark
And the nights are cold
I will always remember
And the pain will come back
And the hurting will resume
All bliss is conditional
And all suffering is eternal.
And when those deep, dark days arrive
Just remember that the day before was darker
And you survived
You will make it out on the other end
And we will all be there waiting
For you
Smiles wide and arms warm.
But your comforts will never be enough
Your hugs and kisses never sweet enough
For there will always be the whole
A missing part of my soul
That will fester and puss
And in the end, it will kill me.
Do not fear,
For time will heal all wounds, little sister
The pain of today will fade with each morrow
It may hurt you now but give it time
And you will forget, you will survive.
But when the days are dark
And the nights are cold

Our Darkest Hero
The world comes crashing down;
Everything is on fire:
Smoke suffocates the children,
Flames char the husbands, and
Tears flow from the mothers eyes
But do nothing to stop the horror.
This is not my fault,
The burden is not mine.
The flames die down;
The floods come.
Steam rises as the flames are extinguished
And the water, once clear and blue,
Turns red with death.
This is not my fault,
The burden is not mine.
Yet I will save you,
I will deliver you from this evil
And end the darkness that eats all.
I will be the hero in the dark
That brings the light of reason and justice.
This was not my fault,
It was never my burden,
But it shall be my triumph.

Winters Grasp
The nights had gotten as dark as they could get. The deathly grasp of the winter months had kissed me and left me feeling cold and alone. Out from the dark and cold air came a burst of warmth. The strong arms of the quickly fading heat holding me tight for a moment, a short yet precious moment, and gave me a chance to hope for something light and comforting to emerge. But it was lost to me, dispersing with the very moment in time that it had rode in on. And now I am here, left alone once again. I wrap my own arms around me, trying desperately to mimic the heat that had enveloped me only moments ago. It is without success. Though only a few minutes have passed, it feels as though it has been years. I am alone and cold. I wish for nothing more than a friend, or a companion; someone who can endure the cold with me and can help me to see the light. I pray to a god that I cannot comprehend or even acknowledge, and hope that in the end, I can find this one and together we can brave the cold.

Swirling Chaos
     Singe…
          Smoke…
               Singe…
The sound of the burning cinders on the morning dew,
The smoke swirling through the air, inhaled into my lungs,
The sweet taste of the increased risk of cancer,
The total disregard for my life or those around me,
Secondhand death and first hand pleasure.
The ash and glow lighting the night,
The sound of the sirens in the distance,
The cries for help that fall on deaf ears,
The rustling of the autumn leaves
As I slink away into the cover of darkness,
Just out of the burning glow of your fallen empire.
     Singe…

That's It...I'm Doing It!

Journal Entry: Mon Feb 21, 2011, 6:45 AM

So, I don't know...for the last few years or so, I've really wanted to go to Italy. I've always wanted to travel and Europe was the obvious decision, but it wasn't until I got about half way through high school that I really settled on the one place above all else I would want to travel to, and that place, is Italy.

Just thinking about it makes me happy and how I would love to see the history and hear the language in everyday life and get to enjoy the artwork and the architecture that has withstood centuries of war and weather and the modernization of today's man.

I mean, think about it. You get a time machine and go half a millennium into the future, and I'd be willing to bet that all the old Italian landmarks will still be there for all to see, and the buildings that you grew up with will be deteriorated beyond recognition or gone all together, more ruins than landmarks.

So I've looked up airfare and hotels as well as average transportation costs and estimated tourists expenses and have acquired my old pickle jar with the word "Italy" scribbled on the label in dark Sharpie marker. Hopefully, by about May of next year, I'll be sipping coffee blocks away from the famous Uffizi Gallery.

I've also been continuing my Italian language lessons, so far so good.

Arrivederci.

I've been finding it difficult to play it. Not out of lack of interest but time rather. Most of my time has been spent working, sleeping and getting ready for school/volunteer EMT work. So sad...hopefully this weekend I can get some time to play it.

Understandable. I've only gotten partially into it, and I keep getting lost in Rome. It's such a huge town. I find it more time consuming just figuring out how to get someplace in that city than actually playing it.
Mostly because those stupid 'memory walls' poke up at the worst possible spots. >_< :D
