Arsenal of the Warlord of the Nerds

Just... insane. I truly believe that I've accumulated one of the most impressive prop gun collections in existence. I should probably start selling them off faster. >.> This doesn't even include the tens I've sold, the four or so still in shipment, or the dozens I destroyed for parts or for remaking. Really... sometimes I think I could be doing something better with my time. :p

Roughly organized into themes: Steampunk, Cyberpunk/Military, Alien/Post-Apoc.

<whistles> Sir, that's one mighty fine looking assortment of pop-Bazookas. Serious props! =0)

they all look delightfully unsafe to use
Yes, I'd be selling them too, before some legal trouble occurs. Also, why are steampunk mods always brass and copper?

Steampunk (as I'm sure that you already know) is the convergence of Victorian, Industrial, and Fantastic Themes, Ideas, and Aesthetics. Therefore, the colors of the items belonging to the genre are going to allude to the materials available in the Victorian era, and the aesthetic sensibilities therein. Brass and copper were the strongest and most common metals found in the Victorian era; even white metal was generally electroplated to carry this coloration. People simply liked it; it was in vogue then, the same as dark faded primary colors are in vogue now. Because this is the color of the era, naturally it is the color of the genre as well.
As trim and decor, maybe. I've never seen a historical weapon so covered in brass and copper as to look like there is nothing else. It's like painting modern weapons gold and sticking diamonds all over them, just because some people shell out so much money to have their weapons decorated so does not mean they were standard colours.

As you can see, they wouldn't cover the whole thing in bronze.

I refer to my original definition; part of Steampunk is the Fantasy Aesthetic, which in this case means that the more striking brass colors appeal to me more and thus I use them despite their technical historical inaccuracy. Sorry, that's just how I roll.
nice adaptations. well done.

What gun did you use to make the sniper on the bottom? How much is the sniper?
ixneedxaxlife's avatar
Err, saw on reddit the sniper was called for. So then just what did you use to make the sniper?
KingMakerCustoms's avatar
It's an airsoft gun base... something cheap I got off of Amazon, it was a test more than anything else. A test I passed.
