Meanwhile in New York City, it was business as usual for the citizens of the city dubbed the big apple and it was just the same for the inhabitants of LKHFF or "LionKingHeart FantasyFilms"
"Alright, places everybody!" Leo Lionheart shouted. "Benny, you all set." "I'm not coming out, Leo!" Benny replied off side. "Someone's got to play the part, and you're the biggest one around here." Leo said as reluctantly, Benny the Beast stepped on to the miniature city filming set. He was dressed a cheaply made dinosaur costume.
The camera operators and production effects crew covered their mouths, trying not to laugh.
"I feel so rediculous!" Benny exclaimed. "Why can't we just do a model or CGI in post-production?" "Hey, all the great movies use REAL effects," Rae the lioness responded.
"Just try not to trip on your own tail there, 'Barney!'" Johnny the lion mocked. "Remind me to eat his lunch later," Benny commented. "Places everyone," Leo called out. "Cue lightning...cut the smoke effects...Benny, look angry."
Benny looked at Leo with the exact expression. Real or acting, Leo was getting exactly what he wanted. "Perfect! Role cameras aaand...action!" So the beast pretending to be a real dinosaur roared and gave his best performance on the set as Xiro Dressed as a triceratops appeared on the set and snorted, challenging the t-rex to combat.
"Give your best Xiro" Kairel said, "okay love" replied the lion as Xiro and Benny clashed like the dinosaurs of old until finally Benny emerged victorious and roared.
"And cut!" Rae called as Benny helped Xiro up "That was quite good, Benny for your first time as a t-rex" Xiro commented. "Thanks, Xiro. You were a pretty good triceratops." Benny complemented. "Alright, team. Let's set up for the pterodactyl scene!" Leo spoke through a megaphone.
Just then, a distressful Teresa Tigress came in through the doors. "Everyone! The news! Quick!" She shouted at the top of her lungs." "Hey, Teresa! This is a closed set," Bruma scolded."Just shut up and follow me!"
"Well, if it's THAT important," Johnny said as he walked past Bruma to follow Teresa. Benny and Xiro slipped out of their dinosaur suits and followed everyone else out of the set. As they headed towards the main hall of the studio lot two friends of Benny, Leo, Johnny and Rae Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps had just turned on a Tv set as two more friends two wolves named Grey and Bianca were watching the news with concered looks on their faces.
"What's going on?" Benny asked confused as Teresa catching her breath said. "Just watch and see youself daddy!" Teresa said as the group looked at the TV.
"Today's top story," A news announcer reported. "Two nuclear submarines have been reported missing during a testing operation off the North Atlantic today. The public of Florida's busiest beaches stand in shock as the bodies of the crew, along with their captains, began to wash ashore..."
Everyone looked with concern as footage of the submarine's crew were shown on the footage. They wobbled face first on the sea, pressing against the sandy beaches along with several onlookers looking at the scene from the distance. While there weren't any signs of a wreckage or pieces of the submarine floating nearby, this news was visibly disturbing for the team.
"Something big must have done all that," Rae observed.
"Some thing 'really' big," Leo added. "And really dangerous."
"Probably still on the loose," Johnny shuddered. "We have to do something about it."
"Like what, Johnny?" Rae questioned. "Invite it to dinner?" "Well, that doesn't sound like a bad idea... But anyone else got ideas?"
"Simple," Benny declared. "We head to the exact spot where the subs were taken and search for clues from there." "Hold on a minute," Logan stepped up. "If Rae's going, I'm coming to!"
"Count me in as well!" Bryce approached. "Don't forget me!" Kyle called out.
"And me!" Victoria added.
"Okay, okay!" Benny shouted, waving his arms. "Settle down. Everyone who's coming will follow us. Alex, you, Xiro, Kairel and Vitaly stand guard and monitor our progress until we return."
"Okay Benny!" Xiro nodded. "Yes sir!" Alex saluted. "You can count on us!" "Da!" Vitaly shouted."Just be safe you guys!" Kairel called out, as the team departed.
Late in the day, the Arofighter hovered across the sky passing through a cloudbank in its path. Benny, at the controls, guided the craft for the past few minutes until at last the site of the attack came into view. The rest of the team strapped on their jetpacks as the ship descended close enough for them to land.
“Remember team,” Benny instructed. “We need to know exactly what happened here, so scout team will need to head down to the ship and find some clues. I’ll keep the ship in the air as long as needed, but I’ve a feeling whomever led the assault is sure to come back.”
“You got it, big guy!” Victoria saluted. “Let’s move guys!” “Hey, wait a minute!” Hewy objected. “I thought we agreed I’d lead the charge for once.” “You’ll get your chance, sweetie,” Rae assured, patting his shoulder.
One by one, each member of the scouts leapt out of the Arofighter, igniting the sparks of their jet packs. Benny watched as the team slowly hovered down toward the wreck. The scouts hovered over the site for a few seconds, overlooking every angle in search of any clues that could indicate the identity of the mysterious culprit. But after a minute or two, not a single clue could be traced or spotted leaving the search nearly uneventful.
“Hewy, you find anything?” Rae called out. “Nope,” Hewy shook his head. “Nothing on my end; you find anything Benny?”
While the Scout team searched, Benny had been checking the radar and like the team had found no other signatures apart from those coming from his friends. Suddenly, a bright flashing light appeared on the radar drawing Benny’s attention. “Oooh yeah, I found something,” Benny spoke via comlink. “Or should I say, something ‘found us’!”
The bright flashing symbol made its way closer and closer to the center of the radar, indicated by a series of beeps. Before Benny’s very eyes, the Arofighter stood face-to-face with a very intimidating sight. A SR-3 Space Ship, the name indicated on both ends of the ship’s nose, twin cannons at the front ready to strike. It was a ship so large it made the Arofighter looked miniscule compared to its sheer magnitude. The sides of the ship had glowing green windows and what appeared to be a second ship just below the top of the structure. The ship made its way to the awestruck jet-packed crew with four turbo boosters in the back at minimum power.
Everyone in mid-air watched silently at the giant ship looming towards them and in that one instance, not a single word was spoken until Johnny broke the silence with two words… “Oh crud!”
“Back to the ship!!!” Bryce called out, turning towards the Arofighter. “No fair, Bryce!!” Hewy called out. “I was about to…”
“ENOUGH STALLING, LET’S MUMBO!!!” Kyle shouted, pushing Hewy forward. “BENNY, PUNCH IT!” “Already on it!”
With a push of a button, the engines of the Arofighter roared for a split second. Just as the rest of the team made it back onboard, suddenly they heard an odd mechanical sound as if the ship was dying. Confused, Benny pushed the button over and over but the ship would not thrust forward. Benny peered through the cockpit window as everyone noticed the other ship advancing closer from the open deck. “Guys, why are we moving towards the enemy spaceship?” Hewy asked nervously.
“The Arofighter’s controls aren’t responding,” Benny noted. “We must be caught in a tractor beach or something!’ “Hang on! I’m going to try something!”
Benny pushed several buttons, but nothing seemed to work. The rest of the team could only watch helplessly, huddling close to each other, as the Arofighter was slowly consumed within the bowels of the mysterious space craft. The Arofighter was soon forced to land within its hanger as the door to the outside sealed shut with a hiss. All was quiet except for the chattering of Johnny’s teeth. “Wh-wh-wh-wh-wh-what do we do?! What do we do!!!”
“First of all, we calm down Johnny,” Kyle instructed. “Secondly… Actually I got nothing.” “We just need to be ready for what comes on board,” Victoria added. “Hopefully there’s still time for a plan.”
Before they had the time to think, the loading ramp of the Arofighter was forced open as if pried by some terrible force of power. A cloud of dust exploded as the ramp hit the floor of the hanger, as the team peered cautiously through the dust. Benny slowly turned from his chair and cautiously made his way to the others as the dust began to clear.
And then, low and behold, an intimidating group of strangers stood before them as if appearing from out of nowhere. A group of five armored bipedal creatures, their armors a different color and the heads of the world’s deadliest creatures. Their leader with the head of a ‘Black Mamba’ stood garbed in dark armor matching his darker blue eyes, long black hair protruded through its scales as long as the beard hung down his chin, and a long scar over his left eye sent shivers before the team. The followers standing behind him consisted of a large bearded wild boar in red armor; a slim grey armored Vulture with a curled beard and silver eyes; a towering gold plated Bull Asian Elephant with broken tusks; and lastly, a sabretooth cat with a chipped fang draped in Dark green armor. Before the team were Jaran and his band of fierce Generals.
“Behold my brotherssssssss,” Jaran spoke. “The legendary LionKingHeart FantasyFilmsssssss team; we’ve been expecting your arrival.”
“Okay, you’ve got us,” Benny stated. “Now, who are you? What do you want with us?”
“A ssssssssstraight to the point creature, aren’t you? Very well, we do have a tight agenda to keep. I am Jaran and now that you’ve come aboard my craft, why don’t we begin with your complete sssssssssssssurrender?”
“You capture us just to assume that we’d bow to the likes of you?” Bryce questioned. “I’m afraid to point out you have no idea who you’re dealing with.”
“We are well aware of your reputation,” Jaran calmly spoke, unfazed. “However, we didn’t go through the trouble to hold mere Earthlings for a minor ranssssssssssom. So here’ssssssss the deal: We believe you have sssssssssssomething of value and it belongssssss to me.”
“We don’t have ANYTHING that belongs to you!” Hewy objected.
“And if we did, we’d never let you find it!” Rae joined, poised to strike.
“Oh I believe you do,” Jaran smirked, turning toward the ship. “This craft is a very fetching prize, a fine addition for my army. Henceforth, your ssssssssship is now property to The Brotherhood of Jaran.”
“In Jaran, we trust!”
