 Where do I send my deviation?
A: If you have put it in the correct folder at DeviantArt you just go to your deviation, see where it lies. For example: Photography > still life > food & drink, then you send it in to Photography here at KoS.

YOUR DEVIATION SHOULD BE SENT TO THE SAME GALLERY AS YOU UPLOADED IT TO!

DDs
If you have gotten daily deviation(s) you send a note with thumb/link to the piece(s) and we will add them to this gallery and write a journal like this kingdomofsweden.deviantart.com… about it.

Customization
If your piece is in the Customization gallery on dA you send it here. That for example includes: digital dolls, icons, skins, themes and wallpapers. Make sure you own the copyright before sending in. DeviantArt says this:

FAQ #306: Does "Crediting" let me use whatever I want?

Designs and Interfaces
Self explanatory really. Cd covers, t-shirt graphics, tattoo design, logos and so fort is sent in here. Make sure you have the copyright on your side!

Digital art
Is it made on your computer, then you send it here. Fan art do not belong here! Send it correctly! And as always: textures, brushes and drawings from reference photo and stock images need credit to original artist in the artist's comment. Google is not proper credit!
Info: Using references: good to know
Tutorial: How to credit properly

Fan art
Fan artwork based on copyrighted material such as books, movies, TV shows, comics, cartoons and games. That means if you draw Johnny Depp as Captain Sparrow, you send it here! BUT credits must be written in the artist's comment to the rightful owner (original copyright owner) which can be a company, a studio, a photographer, an artist, friend, dA-member and so on. Google is not proper credit! However if you draw Johnny Depp as himself then your drawing does not belong here.

Info: Using references: good to know

Flash, Film and Animation
We have thrown together the two galleries Flash and Film & Animation into one. If it's moving or can be played with, you send it here. Be aware of copyright, for example someone else's music or images!
FAQ #614: What can I use for music tracks and sound effects in my animation or film?

This one is divided into two sub-categories:

:bulletblack: English lit (if it's written in English, send it here)
If you have written in some other language then please contact me!

Manga - Anime
Self explanatory. BUT this is for own characters only, fan art has its own gallery! It can be both digital and traditional. Be aware of copyright!

Photos
Self explanatory really. We allow colour change (b&w, sepia, monotone) and standard editing. In some cases uses of textures are allowed but then you need to credit the texture maker in your artist's comment (those photos, in some cases, belong into the manipulation gallery). HDR-pictures are sent in here (but don't forget they are supposed to be in darkroom > digital > hdr at deviantArt).

You must be the copyright owner of the photo (taken the photo). If you are the model you must upload a permission document to be able to use the photo.
FAQ #193: How do I prove that I had permission to use someone's work?
FAQ #257: What sort of permission do I need to use someone else's work?

How to photograph your paintings

 Criterias
:bulletblue: No art theft! You need to hold the copyright (no it doesn't count if your brother/friend/mum gave it to you).
:bulletblue: If it's fan art or you've used a reference you must link and write out the original creator in your artist's comment. AND it must be in the correct gallery on dA!
:bulletblue: 3D and Photomanipulations need to have clearly stated with link in artist's comment where you got everything (that includes: custom brushes, textures, photos and whatnot)
:bulletblue: If you are the model you need a permission document which you can find more information about at dA helpdesk, you need to upload it by clicking 'edit deviation' next to your deviation. Give credit to photographer in description.
:bulletblue: Correct gallery/category on dA and in the same at KoS. It can't for example be in photo at dA and manipulations here.
:bulletblue: If it's a photo the key is sharpness! Blurryness/fussyness is not accepted (unless it's intentional, which usually can be seen but we will ask to be sure if we get a fussy pic sent in)
:bulletblue: Straight lines! If it's a picture with a horizon then it must be straight not leaning. Same goes for buildings and other things, but then it's vertical lines that needs to be straight. You must at least have either horizontal or vertical straight lines.
:bulletblue: If it's a drawing then try to get the anatomy as close to normal as it's supposed to be (if it's not abstract/surreal that is)
:bulletblue: Spelling and grammar is important, make sure it is correct
:bulletblue: We do not accept work in progress (WIP), it needs to be finished. No more editing and if it's a drawing; if it's supposed to be coloured then we want the coloured version not the line work.
:bulletblue: Send into correct gallery. If it's not correct you will get a message and we will have denied your submission. Send it in to the correct place.
:bulletblue: Most important: it needs to be among your best work. Don't send in just because, for example: 3 images of the same sunset isn't picking out the best.
:bulletblue: Think about detail. It needs to have a focus point to look at.
:bulletblue: Add ONLY your own deviations to the group, no one elses.
:bulletblue: NOTE: We follow Swedish and International copyrights laws (just as dA) and can with that in mind decline works.
