Chapter 9: A burning volcano Chapter 9: A burning volcano.
Our friends, after seeing all the flashbacks of the past and the vision of the future, are determined to continue the adventure and prevent darkness from dominating the world again.
To do this, they must go to the volcano where one of the dragons they mentioned is.
Spyray: -By the way, Eatan, do you know what dragon will be in the volcano?
Eatan: -It's the fire element dragon, its name is Pyron, it's a very proud dragon, so convincing it to join them is difficult.
Dragus: -There's no need to worry, we've faced all kinds of obstacles and confrontations. (Referring to when they fought with Verdi and Roudra)
Verdi: -Hey, yes, we can convince him
Thundra: -As long as we're united, we can do anything.
Roudra: -exactly thundra
Kruko: -I'm glad to hear that, it seems that it won't be necessary for me to follow you guys anymore.
Spyray: -and why is that kruko?
Kruko: -well, my mission was to guide you to eatan and meet your destiny, a certain old friend. (Speaking to eatan).
Eatan: -of course kruko, thanks for bringing you here, now you can go rest at your lake.
Dragus: -it's a shame, I hope you and Seanna come back well.
Seanna: -well thanks, I don't have much of an alternative, besides a volcano is too much for us.
Kruko and Seanna say goodbye to the rest but not before a hug and squeeze from kruko to the others.
Kruko: -Take care, I know you'll make it.
Baiter: -Well, I was thinking the same thing Seanna said, I'd better go back to the cave too, going to the volcano could kill me.
Roudra: -Yeah, I understand, take care Baiter, we'll see each other again, friend.
Baiter also says goodbye.
Eatan: -Good friends, my mission to show you your destiny is over, I'll go back to the valley, the rest all depends on you, save this world from darkness.
Spyray: -Don't worry Eatan, we're going to make it.
Eatan flies away towards the valley.
The group was reduced to 5 dragons, Spyray, Dragus, Thundra, Verdi and Roudra.
As they walked towards the volcano, the group of five dragons could feel the air warming up and the ground shaking under their feet. The noise of the distant eruption grew in intensity, and flames and smoke rose into the sky, obscuring the sun.
Spyray, Dragus, Thundra, Verdi, and Roudra moved forward with determination, knowing that their mission was crucial to saving the world from darkness. The landscape around them was desolate and rocky, with charred trees and rivers of solidified lava stretching out like fiery serpents.
As they approached the volcano, the heat grew more intense, and the dragons could feel sweat running down their scales. The air was filled with the smell of sulfur and smoke, and flames danced in the distance, illuminating the landscape with an orange glow.
Suddenly, Thundra stopped and raised her head, as if hearing something. The other dragons stopped as well, and soon they heard a deep, distant roar, which seemed to come from the heart of the volcano.
“What was that?” Verdi asked, a note of concern in his voice.
“Pyron,” Spyray replied, his gaze serious. “We’re close.”
As they neared the entrance to the volcano, Pyron’s roar grew louder and clearer. The dragons could feel the ground tremble beneath their feet, and the air grew even hotter.
The entrance to the volcano was a large opening in the side of the mountain, with sheer rock walls and a roof that stretched into darkness. Smoke and flames billowed out of the opening, creating a veil that obscured the view.
Spyray stopped in front of the entrance, looking in with a mix of determination and caution. The other dragons gathered around him, staring into the darkness before them.
“This is it,” Spyray said, his voice low and serious. “The entrance to Pyron’s home. Let us prepare for what awaits us inside.”
Dragus nodded, adjusting his scales to protect himself from the heat. Thundra stretched, preparing her muscles for battle. Verdi and Roudra looked at each other, then at Spyray, ready to follow his lead.
The entrance to the volcano looked like an open mouth, ready to devour them. But the dragons did not back down. They knew they must face Pyron if they wanted to save the world from darkness.
And so, they stopped in front of the entrance, ready to face what awaited them inside…
Inside the volcano, a river of lava could be seen, a path of rocks leading up the volcano.
Then someone approached them, it wasn't Pyron, it was a male orange and dark blue salamander, his name is Safrie.
Safrie: - Welcome to the volcano, our master is waiting for you at the top of the volcano.
Spyray: - Master, did he say master?
Dragus: - He was right that he was a bit proud.
Thundra: - Well, you'll have to listen to us, whether you like it or not.
Our friends began to walk towards the top of the volcano, enduring the heat of the volcano.
Safrie: So it's you who have come to talk to our master.
Spyray: Yes, it's us. We want to talk to Pyron about the darkness that threatens the world.
Safrie: And what do you think you can do to stop it?
Dragus: We have a plan, but we need Pyron's help.
Safrie: And why should I help you?
Thundra: Because if the darkness wins, everyone will suffer, including Pyron and his home.
Safrie: That's true. But Pyron is not easy to convince.
Verdi: We know that. But we are willing to try.
Safrie: Very well. Let's continue. The top of the volcano is not far away.
Roudra: What can we expect when we get there?
Safrie: Pyron is... unpredictable. But I'm sure he will give you an audience.
Spyray: That's all we ask.
Safrie: Yes... good. Let's continue. The heat and smoke grow more intense as we ascend.
Dragus: We can't take much longer.
Thundra: Yes, the heat is exhausting.
Safrie: We'll be there soon. Pyron is waiting for them.
The walk to the top of the volcano was a test on Pyron's part to see if they are worthy of speaking to him.
Spyray, being used to climbing mountains, had no problems, Dragus and Verdi, as one is associated with water and the other with the forest, begin to sweat but do not give up, Thundra, like Spyray, endured well, as he is used to dangerous places such as when he was near storm clouds, while Roudra, as he has the power of rock, does not feel anything.
Safrie: -The top is close, but the heat and smoke become more intense. You must be careful.
Thundra: -Don't worry, Safrie. I'm used to this.
Spyray: -Yes, Thundra and I will lead the group. Roudra, can you cover us with your power of rock if necessary?
Roudra: -Of course, Spyray. I'm ready.
Verdi: -Ugh... the heat is exhausting... How much longer?
Dragus: -Yeah... my association with water doesn't help me much here...
Safrie: -A little more, friends. The summit is near.
Spyray: -Come on, friends. We can do it. Thundra, Roudra, let's lead the way.
Thundra: -Yes, Spyray. Come on.
Roudra: -Yes, go ahead.
Safrie: -Be careful with the next step... the ground is slippery...
Verdi: -Ouch... my scale is sweating...
Dragus: -And mine... this is hell...
The walk becomes even more intense, now Thundra begins to sweat, Verdi and Dragus support each other so that neither falls, Spyray and Roudra are calm, if they need help the others will intervene.
Safrie: -The summit is very close, but the heat is extreme. You must be very careful.
Thundra: -Ugh... I'm starting to sweat... this is more intense than I thought...
Verdi: -Dragus, give me your hand... I don't want to fall...
Dragus: -Here, Verdi... I need support too...
Spyray: -Don't worry, friends. Roudra and I are here to help you.
Roudra: -Yes, no problem. We can intervene if necessary.
Safrie: -Be careful with the next step... the ground is very slippery...
Thundra: -Ouch... my vision is getting blurry... the heat is too much...
Verdi: -Dragus, don't let yourself fall... we're almost there...
Dragus: -Verdi, don't worry... I'm fine... just a little more...
Spyray: -Come on, friends... the top is very close... we can do it...
Roudra: -Yes, no problem. We're almost there.
Our friends were reaching the top, when suddenly Verdi and Dragus begin to faint from the heat, Thundra holds them both so they don't fall, on Thundra's side, Spyray and Roudra help Thundra so she doesn't fall and keeps moving forward.
In the end they managed to reach the top of the volcano, Verdi and Dragus fainted, Thundra also got tired, only Spyray and Roudra were left standing.
Safrie: -They did it! They reached the top of the volcano!
Verdi and Dragus: _fainted_
Thundra: _tired_... I can't take it anymore... the heat...
Spyray: _with determination_... we've arrived... Roudra, we're here.
Roudra: _with strength_... yes, Spyray... we did it... but our friends...
Spyray: _with concern_... don't worry, Roudra... they're fine... they just need to rest.
Safrie: _with respect_... well done, Spyray and Roudra... you have shown your bravery and determination... now, Pyron awaits you.
Spyray: _with firmness_... we are ready... we bring our friends... and we will talk to Pyron.
Roudra: _with agreement_... yes... let's go... _she approaches Verdi and Dragus to help them_
Safrie: _with a smile_... then, let's go... the audience with Pyron is about to begin... _she heads towards the entrance of Pyron's chamber_
Safrie: -You did it! You reached the top of the volcano!
Verdi and Dragus: _fainted_
Thundra: _tired_... I can't take it anymore... the heat...
Spyray: _with determination_... we've arrived... Roudra, we're here.
Roudra: _with strength_... yes, Spyray... we made it... but our friends...
Spyray: _with concern_... don't worry, Roudra... they're fine... they just need to rest.
Safrie: _with respect_... well done, Spyray and Roudra... you've shown your bravery and determination... now, Pyron awaits you.
Spyray: _with firmness_... we're ready... we'll take our friends... and we'll talk to Pyron.
Roudra: _with agreement_... yes... let's go... _she approaches Verdi and Dragus to help them_
Safrie: _with a smile_... then, let's go... the audience with Pyron is about to begin... _she heads towards the entrance to Pyron's chamber_
Spyray, Roudra, and Safrie entered Pyron's chamber, followed by Thundra, Verdi, and Dragus, who were still recovering from the effort. The chamber was vast and dark, with walls of black rock and a ceiling that seemed to disappear into the darkness. In the center of the chamber, on a throne of solidified lava, sat Pyron, the red dragon.
Pyron was huge, with scales that glowed like fire and eyes that seemed to burn brightly. He looked at the approaching dragons, and his gaze seemed to assess them.
Spyray approached the throne, followed by Roudra and Safrie. Thundra, Verdi, and Dragus stayed behind, still recovering.
Pyron spoke, his voice like a roar of thunder. "Why have you come here?" he asked.
Spyray bowed, respectfully. "We have come to speak with you, Pyron. The world is in danger, and we need your help."
Pyron looked at Spyray, and then at the other dragons. "What do you know of the world?" he asked.
And so began the audience with Pyron, the red dragon.
Spyray: -We need you to join us, to fight the darkness.
Pyron: -Darkness? What darkness are you talking about?
Roudra: -Eatan, an eagle warned us of a vision in the future that if we do not owe the darkness, all we know will be only sadness, anger and fear, I do not think you want your home to look like that.
Pyron: -I understand, if what you say is true, you must prove that what you say is true.
Spyray: -What do you want us to do?
Pyron: -If you beat me in a fight, I'll say you're telling the truth and I'll join you.
Roudra: -Why a fight?
Pyron: -I need to know your strength and see if you're worthy of my help.
Pyron then stands up and accompanies them to the crater of the volcano. They'll fight on top of the volcano, 5 against 1.
The fight began with Spyray, who unleashed an earthquake that shook the crater, demonstrating his power of the earth. Pyron stood firm, impressed by the dragon's strength.
Dragus then joined the battle, unleashing a torrent of water that attempted to sweep Pyron away. The red dragon laughed and absorbed the water into his body, but Dragus continued to press on with his water power.
Verdi stepped forward, surrounded by an aura of vegetation. He unleashed a shower of thorns and branches that attempted to ensnare Pyron, demonstrating his power of the forest. Pyron attempted to burn the plants with his fire breath, but Verdi quickly regenerated them.
Thundra joined the battle, her body glowing with an electric glow. She unleashed a bolt of lightning that attempted to strike Pyron, demonstrating her power of lightning. Pyron quickly moved and avoided the attack, but Thundra continued to press on with her power.
Finally, Roudra stepped forward, her body surrounded by an aura of rocks. She unleashed a shower of stones that attempted to strike Pyron, demonstrating her power of rock. Pyron fought back with his fire breath, but Roudra continued to press with her power.
Pyron was impressed by the strength and determination of the 5 dragons, but not enough to defeat him. With a roar, he unleashed a torrent of lava that tried to engulf the dragons. The battle continued, and only time would tell who would be the victor.
Spyray and Roudra were able to withstand Pyron's blow, Thundra only held out a little, but Dragus and Verdi, already tired from the heat of the volcano, could not hold out for long.
When Pyron was going to give the final blow to Verdi and Dragus, Spyray, Roudra and Thundra stood in front of them to hold back the attack. But just when Pyron was going to strike, something incredible happened.
The 5 dragons began to shine with an intense light, each with its characteristic color. Spyray glowed with an orange glow, Roudra with a purple glow, Thundra with a yellow glow, Dragus with a blue glow, and Verdi with a green glow.
The light of the 5 dragons united into a single point, and suddenly, a gigantic five-colored dragon was formed. The dragon had the power of earth, rock, lightning, water, and forest, and was stronger than any individual dragon.
With its newfound power, the five-colored dragon faced Pyron and defeated him with ease. Pyron, impressed by the strength and determination of the 5 dragons, surrendered and acknowledged his defeat.
Pyron: -Well, they were right. What they said about darkness and that you are the reincarnation of the great dragon... it may be true.
Spyray: -Wow, I've never felt like this before. It's like we share the same feeling and we help each other.
Roudra: -Yeah, it's amazing. I felt the connection with each of you.
Thundra: -I felt it too. I felt each of you inside me.
Verdi: -What did I miss?
Dragus: -I thought I was dreaming... that we were united in one dragon.
Spyray: -You weren't dreaming, Dragus. It really happened. We were united in one dragon.
Dragus: -Wow, how impressive.
Verdi: -Yeah, you're right. It's amazing what we can accomplish together.
Pyron: -Yeah, I think it's time for me to join you. Together, we can face the darkness and protect our world.
The dragons nod in agreement, ready to face the future together.
Pyron finally joined our friends, with this there are already 6 dragons, we only need to find one, but it is possible that it will be the most difficult of all, what will happen next, we will see them in the next chapter. The End
