Siamotyrannus isanensis

Despite it's genus name, this animal was not a tyrannosauroid, although it has been placed there in the past.  Current analysis show that Siamotyrannus is a carnosaur, a Metriacanthosaurid to be specific.  It was a medium sized theropod, estimated to be about 6-7.5 meters (20-24 ft) in length, but with such limited remains, it's hard to be precise.  It likely preyed on medium and large animals, such as contemporary Phuwiangosaurus sirindhornae.  It lived during the Early Cretaceous, and it's remains have been found in Thailand.
