I am a self-taught artist and fine art photographer from the colorful and multi-cultural city of Miami, now living in the beautiful state of Colorado. As a painter and mixed media artist, I have always been drawn to the drama and purity of abstract imagery. Many of my works are an expression of this - a study in abstraction with a focus on the dynamic relationship between color and form.
Although I haven't actively pursued the traditional route of showing my work in galleries, past art exhibitions include a February 2004 group show at Marziart Internationale Gallery in Hamburg and a number of private exhibitions in South Florida.
As a fine art photographer, I enjoy several genres of photography: landscape and nature photography, abstract photography (geometric and/or surreal structures and forms, patterns, and textures), architecture, cityscapes, conceptual photography, infrared (both B&W and colorized), urban decay, macro photography, and more. Of all the genres, my favorite is landscape photography; as such, I have amassed a large collection of landscape shots, and I love working with various post-processing applications and experimental techniques to create more interesting surreal images and dreamscapes. Although I'm somewhat new to photography, some of my photographs have been featured on MTV, HGTV, and in the book, Weird Colorado.
My goal as an artist and photographer is to share and celebrate the divine beauty and magic in this world, and to explore and examine the duality of darkness and light.
