*a lone figure emerges out of the ashes...no wait that's baby powder....mmmm lavander-y....she walks burdened by the wounds gained in battle--no wait that's lack of sleep....and on her is the blood of her enemies -- OKAY FINE THAT'S BABY SPIT UP ...*

It's amazing how much life can change in such a short period of time. Since my son was born in August I have had to watch my Mum go through cancer states away from helping her, I've watched God take care of her through it all and see doctors go from no hope to hope. She's currently in the second week of 6.5 weeks of radiation, after that she will only need to take medication and see a doctor every three months. Praise God she is doing so much better.

There are also other life complications that are not fit to go on the internet, but God is taking care of my family.

My husband and I bought a house with four acres in my hometown, so we will be moving next month. It's going to be great. My husband and I worked hard to earn the money for the down payment and God led us to find a great house, and when we went to see it when we were vacationing everything just ran smoothly (Hubby wasn't even wanting to see houses that week but I pushed him to see the one he had been looking at online for a while and the realtor for the house was right down the road from the house and not as busy as I thought being a day or so from Thanksgiving).

Hubby wants to start a YouTube channel about homesteading, so we've bought a camcorder and other accessories to start that. Videography is more his skill than mine however.

My skill is more with the websites. I'm continuously learning and practicing my skills as a web developer/designer. I am currently designing a friend's cupcake bakery site and trying to find a decent wordpress setup for the homesteading website.

mitzisunshine.com so far my web portfolio are small sample websites created from some Udemy courses I'm taking.

becominghomestead.com will be the website for our homesteading stuff. I'll share the youtube channel when that's ready...right now the site is just a big coming soon thing.

It's hard trying to be into your creative work, attempting to start your own side business, when you have a baby. I didn't realize how hard it would be, but now I understand why some friends have put off their projects because of children. I'm encouraged however, that I have seen said friends eventually get back to their creative work.

Right now I am constantly darting after my boy as he crawls across the room where he isn't supposed to be. It's cute, but it also inturrupts anything I'm trying to do. As I was typing this he hit his head on the coffee table (again...) and I had to soothe him.

Some days I feel like I'm not really getting anything done.

It's been in my head however to start drawing again. I want to author a comic, but I'm still not sure how that will go. Drawing, for me, is a muscle that needs constant exercise or else my skill just declines.

I don't know. I can barely keep the baby together while working on web design. How am I suposted to throw art in there?

When we move into the house, I'll have my own office though! and room to make a nice desk setup! Currently my 'office', a single desk constantly getting messy because everyone has papers that need managed, is borrowing real estate from the living room, and on the other side of said room is the 'nursery'. One wall, with a dresser/changing pad, crib and bookshelf. Trying to live and work in a one bedroom condo is not easy.

Anywho, this is rambling. I know there are a few out there who wonder about me from time to time, and thank you for remembering me! Hoepfully, one day I can post frequently on here, even if it's just hobby sketches.

Anywho, Baby is starting to crawl where he shouldn't.

TTYL and God bless,
Kima

*tackles Kima* I've been wondering what happened to you! Congrats on having a son! And praise God that your mother is doing much better now! It would be real cool to see art from you again, but you have a kid who needs taking care of, so of course he comes first!

Hey! :) Glad to see you've still been active with your drawings! Was looking at them today and I live the detail you've put into the hair and the way you draw noses! You're doing great!
