I must say, I haven't given thought to other ceramic artist's design and work as far as historic/cultural accuracy goes. In ceramics class we were taught cultural history around the world. With this thinking, I do research when I create my art pieces as you can find in my work, depending on genre.
This is because where I'm from we are taught that culture is very important and should be respected, especially from cultural visitors.
With that being said, I assumed that all ceramic artists do a historical background check on mythological, religious and cultural historical design for accuracy. In this preparation one can expect an acceptable or exceptional outcome.
I found all members to show discretion in their art work. I believe that in a case of inept design, another artist can share their wisdom on accuracy of an art piece, then remove it so we have a better understanding of a specific flaw, less we repeat.
What does all that mean. Well, if someone doesn't appreciate an art piece, at least it won't piss them off.
The artist should Just remove it upon request.
