We all crowded around him, fearing for his life. After what felt like an eternity of holding our breath and praying he was ok, his chest began to rise and fall gently.
I was so relieved that he was breathing, I felt tears escaping my eyes as I hugged him. He was still unconscious, but I knew it was working. That was the most important thing. I rested him on the ground again and ran up to the door where the three girls were waiting and grinned widely.
"Thank you so much, thank you for saving him." I wiped my tears away with my sleeve and hugged Natasha, then gave a grateful smile to Amber and Shannon before returning to my place beside Pete.
Pete began to stir and I swore I saw him smile slightly.
"I need a princess to wake me up," He whispered and his right eye flickered open slightly, then he bolted upright and wrapped his arms around my neck.
"C'mere Patrick!" He said and kissed my cheek, then let me go and started laughing uncontrollably.
"It's good to have you back, buddy!" I smile
