His mind started to drift to what they could do after they finished the movie and he was unaware of the beware of dog sign that was just barely legible with all the years it had endured. Robert looked around, breaking free of his daydreaming. He was completely out of his element, he had walked right into the local woods and did not know where he came in from. Looking at his watch, he noticed that Zoey was going to be at his house in two and a half hours. He had to get home and freshen up before she arrived. He recognized a few of the landmarks and started to walk in that general direction. Suddenly having the chills, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being followed. He just kept walking forward, preoccupied by the need to get home. The sound of leaves crunching under someone or something's weight made Robert that more eager to find the neighborhood again. He felt almost free of the woods, he recognized a path to his left and knew it was only 10 more minutes until he saw streetlamps again. The sun was setting and the woods was growing darker by the minute.
He never would have guessed a scene from a horror movie was so close to his house. He turned a corner on the path and froze instantly. In his way was a dark figure on all fours. It walked up to him, creeping in and out of the shadows. It had grey fur and looked more so like a dog than a wolf. The first thing he noticed about the creature was its eyes. They were crystal clear and had a golden tint. They cut right through the evening air and peered at the frozen teen. Robert attempting to shuffle around the creature tried to talk to it. "Hey there girl, I am just going to walk around you now. I don't want to hurt you". He was so close to the edge of the woods, he could sprint if he wanted to. Then again he saw on the animal planet that running sometimes antagonizes them to attack. He decided he would go for it, he turned and sprinted for the neighborhood. He didn't look back but heard the pounding of paws on the path. He arched his back as the canine pounced on him and pinned him to the ground. The dog sniffed Robert's clothing and start to loosen up on the pressure. This is when he decided to push himself up and try to run again. His elbow pushed into the canine's mouth and the dog bit down into his skin. Ignoring the sheering pain, he sprinted out of the woods. Turning back to see that the beast has disappeared into the darkness. He walked back home in a rush to bandage the wound.
As he was walking up to his door he looked and noticed that Zoey was sitting in her car. "How long has she been here?", he mumbled to himself. Robert walked up to the car and Zoey opened her door. "Hey Rob, what why did you go on a walk without me?", she giggled. "Oh umm, I guess we can go on one after I bandage my elbow". Zoey looked at his elbow and was shocked to see so much blood. She quickly walked around her car to inspect it more closely. "Where do you keep the first aid kit, I have always wanted to play doctor". Robert was amazed at how entertained she was about helping him dress a wound. He just moaned from the throbbing in his arm and waited for his 'doctor' to come back into the room. He checked the time on his phone, 11:20. He thought about asking her to leave while he gets some rest, but for some reason he wanted her there to be with him. This was an alien feeling for Robert, he had never felt so close to a girl before but Zoey was so warm and bubbly that he wanted her to be around him for the night. Making their way into the house, Robert sat on the couch and told Zoey to check the medicine cabnit in the hallway bathroom. She bounced back in the room with the first aid kit and started to patch the bandage. He was pretty amazed at how well she was doing, she was like a professional nurse. She went back down the hallway to put the kit away.
As she was walking out, Robert began to itch on the spot that his bandage was covering. He looked down at his arm and saw that his arm hair looked thicker. Thinking that maybe it could have been the lighting, he quickly dismissed his worries. However, soon his feet started to throb and he could feel the tops of them itch just like the spot the bandage was covering. When he went to remove his sock, he gasped in sheer terror. What could only be described as black fur was sprouting all over his legs and on top of his foot. His toenails lengthened and were growing more pointed by the second. As he continued to watch his foot stretched and thin down, as his nails grew a darker color. He heard her walking back down the hallway and began to quickly cover up his changing legs. Zoey walked in to find her date looking very uncomfortable and unsettled in his seat. "I have to go now Zoey! It was very nice to see you tonight!", hurried Robert. On his way out of the room he tripped when his growing paws ripped through the front leather of his shiny Sperry's and the black fur began to grow thicker past his socks. He began to panic and felt an unusual pressure in his pants, it grew more and more until finally a tail began to slip its way out of the back of his pants. It ripped right through the denim and he was expecting a scream or shout from his date but was only meet by the calm gray eyes.
These eyes seemed to calm him in ways that was inhumanly possible. Robert looked down at the hand that was being placed on his chest and to his surprise, her wrist was beginning to sprout gray hair.By this time the rest of his shoe was ripping into pieces and she kicked off her tennis shoes and socks. Looking into his eyes, she began to explain. "Robert, I need you to calm down, I was that wolf you saw near the end of the woods. I was trying to enjoy my other form before our date and unfortunately I bit you. This means that I have passed on my secret with you and I am so sorry you had to find out this way. I was hoping it wouldn't pass on to you. I am so sorry Robert". Tears were beginning to form in her eyes and Robert placed his paw like hand next to her cheek and managed to say "it's okay' before his face began to push out into a muzzle. Zoey took off the rest of Roberts closed and held the both of them close together while their muscle and fur grew and spread over their bodies. Both of their fingers shortened to be more like paws and their chest barreled outwards in a muscular display of power. Zoey growled in a playful manner to Robert who lost the ability to form human words. She was nervous that Robert may reject her and run off not knowing how to handle the 'gift'. The last change to hit Zoey was the tail and for Robert it was his eye color. With one blink he went from a very human almond color to a bright yellow which pierced through the night.
Both teenagers were full of the lunar energy and ran through the back door that Zoey consciously left open when getting the bandages. They ran off into the moonlight and howled loudly as they passed the city and ran into the countryside. Some nights are full of surprises and some nights you are turned into a beast under the full moon.

Well, take this from a fellow writer, as it's very important: NEVER stop writing.
Why? Simply this. If you do, it'll be difficult to start again, also, your writing style will drastically change from when you originally wrote. Better make a smooth transition and continue being creative.
