The greyhound-like body people give dragons doesn't really make much sense anatomically speaking. I mean, yeah, you can design dragons however you like, but VERY few animals, and virtually no predators, have a body type like that. (cheetahs being the real exception, and they're built to run.)
I design all my dragons like big cats. They like to sleep a lot, can be assholes, and are flexible crazy hunters.
To be fair, I like the idea of "actually pleasant" dragons, and have a ton of dragon stories I've been working on, but I treat them more neutral. Some are good, some are bad, but tey are still dragons, and just want to sun a little.
But Maleficent is fantastic because she's just a pile of rage and death.
