Basic Information:
This event is hosted by Phantasm Equestrian, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States of America. Phantasm Equestrian is owned by Joshua Teller and is located on 130 acres of farmland. Phantasm Equestrian boasts two indoor arenas and an outdoor arena. The training dressage class will run simultaneously with the intermediate and advanced dressage classes. Intermediate class runs in the morning, spilling into the afternoon. Advanced class runs after a half hour break and will continue into the late evening.
The event runs Saturday, 30 May in-game, regardless of whether the digital event closes on time or not. Please regard the projected weather for the date below.
The judging platform will not be released to the public until the event is closed. Please realize this event is completely judged off of effort and execution of entry. Score will be represented out of 100 points.
Weather:
The morning begins off cool and overcast. Winds are light and variable.
As the day advances, the morning warms up and the sun peeks through a partially cloudy sky. Winds pick up from the southeast into slight gusts of warm, humid air.
Heavy clouds roll in fast in the late afternoon and shower warm rain. Winds remain calm.
The rain ends, but the sky remains overcast, by mid-evening. The temperatures cool again and the wind remains calm. Puddles refuse to drain in the outdoor arena.
Indoor Arena
The indoor arena used for this test is stand-alone with a two large doors on the short ends. The building itself is 72ft x 200ft, large enough to hold a standard dressage arena. The limits of the dressage arena are marked off with decorative fencing. Markers are placed outside of the arena.
The ceiling is peaked, with the very top being open to a second roof to keep out rain, but let in sunshine. Rafters stretch across the width of the building at eight foot intervals. Large dome lights add extra illumination to the arena from every third rafter, spaced sixteen feet away from the wall.
The walls are held together with two-by-fours spaced every eight feet to align with the rafters. Two two-by-four bars circumnavigate the arena four and five feet off the ground. The outer wall is visible from the inside. White paint-coated corrugated metal paneling makes up both the siding and the roof. The building does not support any windows.
Sponsorship advertisements are hung down the length of the barn from the two-by-fours around the building.
Outdoor Arena
The outdoor arena is also standard size. A well-kept white fence with three rungs circles the decorative dressage fencing of the arena. Markers are placed outside of the arena, but inside of the white fencing. One metal gate, also painted white, restricts entry and exit from the arena on the east side.
Many deciduous trees, including maple and oak, block the view from the north. Creeping vine and heavy ground foliage restrict further visibility in that direction.
Open fields of young grain stretch to the west of the dressage arena. The peak of a rolling Michigan hill restricts viewing for miles.
More trees and fields, these ones containing Gueno, naturally colored pegasi and unicorn, fill the southern edge of the dressage arena. To the southwest is property that belongs to a neighbor, who has one white pole barn, a couple nondescript bay horses, and a simple ranch house.
More trees, the parking lot, and indoor arenas are located to the east of the outdoor arena. The indoor arenas are both painted white, but one is corrugated metal sided, whereas the other one is sided with painted two-by-eights.
Sponsorship advertisements are hung from the white fencing surrounding the dressage arena.
