I officially returned from Florida around 10 am yesterday, but I had a lot of unpacking, cleaning, and lounging around to do.
I woke up around four in the morning to catch my seven o' clock flight, so I was extremely exhausted, as you may guess. I was able to visit the beach twice and a botanical garden once.
Otherwise, I had a great time visiting various attractions. I went to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and met Winter the dolphin (the star of the movie Dolphin Tale) and many other aquatic animals. I visited to Busch Gardens where I was able to get up close to some kangaroos to pet them, and I fed some tropical birds (who thought it would be fun to land on my head).
On my last day at the beach, I spotted some wild stingray fairly close to shore. They probably swam within a foot of me, and I imagine the strong waves that day and the many ships in the deeper waters brought the rays closer to shore. It was definitely neat to see them up close, but I do hope they returned safely out to see.
Anyway, just a quick recap. of what I've been up to. I am well-rested, and I had a wonderful trip, but it's definitely great to be back home.
