Scary Godmother

Many years ago, I drew a little sketch of Jill Thompson's Scary Godmother as a part of a sketch-a-day challenge to keep me going. It wasn't what I really wanted to do with the character. I've wanted to draw a proper, full color Scary Godmother for a long time now. I even stated this to Jill Thompson herself in an exhausted ramble at the end of the 2007 San Diego Comic-Con, but nothing beyond that little sketch came of it, until a young lady named Hannah asked if she could use the sketch for a tattoo. Well, I was able to rework the previous image a bit for the tattoo and finally scratch that near two-decade old itch by making this piece. 

I'd still like to draw her again someday... Still a little itchy.
