I think I finally did it! I am the first to make this Villain! ^W^ I am so happy. I spent all day, to get her done in time for the convention tomorrow.
She was a challenge to get done in a less than a day, and I had to finish another plush today too. Her mane was the hardest to do in this time frame the rest was pretty simple. ^w^
Her colors look very dim in this photo. She has much more color than that.

Any who she's going to the convention with me tomorrow, and I'll be needing to find a home for her. I'm thinking I'll use ebay, unless I get a really great offer on here.

Edit: She found a home! I'm so excited over how much everyone loves her. To be honest, I thought she would get looked over like most my plushies, but I guess her hype made it hard to ignore. Thank you everyone. I will keep working hard to make more adorable plushies.

I think it's cause either people don't like the glow or they think they look generic. My new ponies are so much nicer. ^W^

Thank you. I'm certainly going to make her with her real cutiemark once it's officially released. There is the toy version, but those are off sometimes.

Hey I saw this at Equestria Daily!
btw you should display your plushies on esty :D

Thank you. ^W^
I use to sell my plushies on etsy, but etsy always makes you pay fees for them, and the paypal fees. Since I take my commissions on here most of the time. I only have to deal with paypal fees.
I do still have an esty account, with some stuff, but not much. www.etsy.com/shop/ThePlushParl…

She's a good start, except that she is basically all purple, no blues.

Her eye color is purple, her tail and mane consist of 2 colors of purple (dark and light) and 1 color of teal.

Cutie Mark color is a grayish-brown and is a tad bit smaller in size.  And watch the curl on the ends of the lashes.  Hers are more straight.  I have a clip of her that my son took from the preview that I'll post in my gallery for you to see.

She is still a great start and I know you're next version of her will be spot on!

hey slipsntime, I view Starlight Glimmer as having the same colour eyes as Rarity.

I'm not going to get in to a long discussion over this.

Just go over to Wikia where the stat info was put up yesterday for Starlight Glimmer.  Expand the info and click on her eye color and then go to the color chart which comes up purple.   Go down to Season 5 Gallery and click all the actual captured screenshots image of Starlight Glimmer...purple.

Now do the same for Rarity which is a light-medium blue and doesn't look anything like Rarity.

They are not alike in color, not even close.

The coloring on the image is off, it says so in the description. ^^ll The background should be white, but it's like bluish grey.
Though if you have the colors in stock you can pull them out and see what shades she really is. She is made of Lilac, purple, eggplant, and opal. ^W^

I made the cutiemark black, cause the color was so dim that, it didn't leave the correct imprint in my head as I was picking out the colors. ^^ll

I took a screen shot too. Though I was looking online just to find a few vectors of her, and I came across this: Starlight Glimmer by partylikeapegasister
They look so good on her, I decided to go with them. Straight lashes are just so boring, and as chibi-pets tells me, it's good to make the eyes in another style.

I noticed you didn't go after the pattern? I rather have a critique done over the pattern, so I correct those errors, over the minor flaws in one for a singular plush.

Don't freak out by the length of this LOL!  Didn't see the remark about the photo image being off.  You should have something in your arts program that allows you to brighten/contrast the image and adjust colors if you need to.  If you don't and need help with that, you can always email the jpg or png and I or my son can help you fix it, if you like.

Yeah, I have the same problem when I forget to take my color numbers with me to the store.  Some colors will stick in your head, and some colors just don't.  I have the DMC embroidery thread color chart on my comp and I use that to match up the colors of each character so I know what color number to look for, or to use in order to find the color of fabric I need, but there are those times when you're just in a hurry to get out the door that when you reach the store...dang...I've left my color listings on the dining room table and you're brain suddenly doesn't remember anything! LOL!

I've found two screenshots of the CM, one on her and the other ponies which looks like the grayish-brown and then one in a photo frame that is a funky muted gray-green.

Its okay to put your own touch on the lashes and change them to curl like partylikeapegasister drew in the shot that you have.  I even change up certain characteristics to add my own touch as with Derpy's Mane and Tail.  Derpy was just too good of a character to have a plain mane and tail.   That's what makes a person's plushies unique and one-of-a-kind.   I just know that there are a lot of people out there who want "show accurate" and all the screenshots from the sneak peek on Wiki have her with straight lashes.  That is probably for a reason to show a darker side of her, but it really comes down to personal choice.  Who knows, maybe at the end of the episode she will have changed and her lashes will have curled :)

As for the pattern, you've done really good so far.  The only thing I would critique about it right now is make the neck a little longer (can't tell you how many times I've kept elongating the neck until it looked right) and a little thinner (so that it doesn't thrust out so much in the front), and make the unicorn horn narrower.  On fillies the horn is a little thicker, on the ponies they're thinner.  Ears look great!  Too many people make them so large that they don't look like the pony ears!  Of course I can't see the front of her face full on, but if you move the eyes closer to the head gusset seam, when you look at the pony straight on it should look like the eyes are facing more front than off to the side.  Do you have any front face photos?  I keep studying my all of my dachshund's plush toys to see how close to the seam they put the eyes which in most cases is pretty dang close, pattern details etc...LOL...and she has A LOT of plush toys!

Adjust the sides of the bangs so they're not draping all the way back and into her ears.  In the screen shots the back lower side tip just sits in front of the top of the ear corner where the ear joins the head.   See where the teal sits in front of the ear on your plushie?  That's where the side of the bangs should end, so thinner sections of colors.  When you look at the screenshots and compare them to your image you'll see what I mean.

Did you stuff the top of her mane to make it stand up?  I can't tell from the shot.  I like that you didn't stuff it on the bottom.  Makes it more natural looking.

There are a lot of screenshots of her from the sneak peak on wiki that you can look at if you haven't already.  Somebody put that up today, as there was nothing on her this morning when I was looking around.

Got to go get dinner ready.  I'll catch up with you tomorrow and we can talk shop more then.

Glad to see that you beat some of the other plushie makers in getting her made (including me) who are generally on top of these new characters.  Its like they went to the computer console on the USS Enterprise and ordered one and it materialized!

Sorry, it took me forever to get to this. I have to use notepad just to reply to long messages. @.@
My husband has been taking over the photos, since we got married. I bought this up with him last night, and he said, "I though you didn't like the color background white, cause it hurts your eyes." Which explains so much. I did have him correct the color, but it seems the coat, isn't showing any pink. I mean lilac is a mostly purple color, with a pink sharpness to it. I found my dusty rose last night, but after debating over which out of the two would be best for her, I ended up going to lilac.

I have a little book, I normally carry with me, but sometimes it's now in my purse. ^^ll Cause I'll take it out to write notes in it/ shopping list.

I might go with a grey next time for the cutiemark, just to make it lighter. I only get to go to the fabric store once a month. T.T

I know a lot of people love show accurate, but embroidery files are easily customizable to any plush. ^W^ So I always ask what type of expression they want. Which is kind-of funny, cause I got two commissions for her this week and they both want them with the same eyes style. I'm like, "Really, you have an option to make yours more original, and all you want is the same old same old?" I can't complain, cause it's easier on me be like 40 minutes, but I do like to have different expression, it makes them more real.

I wrote down the notes, I don't know when I can do another revamp, but I'm hoping next week when I am not swapped. Though I always feel that way. @.@ The ears are my favorite part, cause one day my husband was like your eats suck, and I spent a whole day looking at plushies to see if there where any good ears, and I couldn't find anything I liked, so I came up with this style. It's oddly my most proudest achievement. ^^ll I rarely take front photos cause you can't really see most of the work into the plush, but I did inculcated a front photo of Bill Cipher. I've been making sure the eyes are viewable form the front since 2013 though. ^w^ A customer of mine pointed it out, so I fixed it for them.

I did stuff the top, so she can have a bit more poof up there, though my next ones will have the same "poof", but I plan to make the bottom more curled. The bottom part will not be stuffed, but the curl at the end will stand out more and look more elegant.

I'm normally, so covered in my own work that I almost always miss this chance. This was that one rare time that I got lucky. ^^ll Though I am honored that the plush got a singular post, it's sad that it wasn't due to my skills.

Regardless, I wrote down every correction I should take, and I plan to use all the data for V5. ^W^ Hopefully, I can get the new style out soon, like next week.

I hear you got a spot at BronyCon.  Good for you! :)  My son and I unfortunately along with a very large majority of previous vendors, were not selected :(  We are both very disappointed, but Shore Leave was kind enough to pencil us in for a spot last month should we not make it to BC this year.  They do not 'hand select' vendors - always been a first come/first serve which is how conventions were when I was doing them.

I've made myself a work schedule for next week (only way I could think of to get some control over much needed time to address everything I need to address) and I've got you scheduled in for Monday to finally look at your pattern and help you with it.  I want you to have the best pattern out there so that you have plushies that are right up there with a few 'major' plushie makers that I do know are going.  So, I'll talk to you on Monday.

Have a great weekend!  I hope they're still calling for warmer weather tomorrow.  The snow of late is a tad depressing and dreary.  Anything I can do to help you out...give a holler.

Thank you. I'm rather surprised, I'm so new at this and called the MD Tax Licenses phone today, and asked them a bunch of questions. I looked online for data first, but it was all so confusing. So I called them up, and then they gave me a number to call about the tax portion, and asked questions on that. I still feel like I don't know much.
If you can give me any helpful advice on running a table, it will be much appreciated.

I'm sorry, to hear that I was looking forward to visiting, but we can still visit on our own still. ^W^ Also you can review my plushies in person, and give me more advice. It's good to hear you have a back up plan, I'm not really sure why they have a "vendor selection". I like the first come first serve better. Though if I had to guess it's due to the amount of interest that Bronycon attracts.

I have to live by a schedule all the time. @.@ Though I was a bit easy going with it. But the next few months I'm going to need to crack down and, work hard. I can't slack off.
Thank you, for making time for me. I know I'm not prefect with my pattern, and I really need advice. It's my dream to be considered A-ranked.

You have a great weekend too! I really want warm weather too.

Hello!
I just send you a note so please check it so I can email you the photo.
I'll include the Tax info when I email the photo and directions of what to do/say etc...

Yes, it seems that the majority of vendors from the last 2, possibly 3 years were not given spots.  They also went back to the smaller size vendor hall (the one we had in 2013) which was just way too crowded, had less spaces, as well as A LOT of wasted space that was not even utilized.  Looks like this this year is the same way.  If they would adjust the sizes of the booths according to people's needs, they could fit in the 300 or so vendors who applied.  That number was cut down to 150.  Last year we had 200 vendors.  And there were several spaces that I remember seeing that had no one in them except a poster on the table and business cards laid out.  Wrong.  That is space that someone who didn't get accepted and needs to make money to live on could have used.

Enough...don't get me going on that LOL!

Send me an email and I get the photo out to you.  And, I'm very happy to help you.  There are a couple of people that I've met over the past couple years and they stick out...like we have kindred spirit.  And isn't helping each other what it is and should be all about?

Now go email me!

I sent a note with my e-mail address. ^W^

I think they mentioned last year due to the amount of vendors the sells where down. Maybe that is why it is not about 150? I am just guessing here, since I don't know what's going on.
Yeah, if a person is just going to leave a poster and business cards then they should have 1 table/area the is meant for that only. So it's not wasting space of people who want to sell their wares in person.
Maybe I should picth the to Bronycon, it can be like a options that people can post it up for like $50 bucks.
