Ajudaris illustration Amizade

By khaamar

Illustration for the children book "Histórias da Ajudaris" (in english "Stories of Ajudaris") to a story called "Amizade" (in english "Friendship") -- it's about a little chick that only had one leg and all his brothers made fun of him because he was different.

It's interesting to see how a kid from the 3rd grade -- the writer of this story is actually that aged -- portrait discrimination. This story has a happy ending though (:

Hope you like!

Aww poor little chick. It'd be nice to get a copy from that book, I know how children are mean to others and maybe this book'll give a good lesson to them.

Love the colors and the expressions on the chicks, specially their mom and that one-legged chick is just lovable. Poor baby!!

Cheers for the little one who wrote the story!

Yeah, I know. Kids can be unbelieveable cruel, but also intelligent. With some real insight. Whoever wrote that story, it must be one of those amazing kids ... Really good picture too. Espeially like the mother's (I assume that it is their mother) expression.

Awwwww... So cute and so sad. :( I've seen some students that young (and I was a classmate with one) who wrote such beautiful and touching stories, so I'm not surprised at all. It is sad though, that perhaps they might have somehow experienced such discrimniation. Good that this child could express it...

And you express the sadness wonderfully! Awwwww...it makes me wanna cuddle the chick. :( Excellent job!

Oh, little poor thing~:pat:

Would this book be available on Amazon?
I think I'd like to order one when it is published.

I don't think it will. The printing was short and the book is in portuguese only. I'll ask if they're thinking on translating it to english.

I see.
Still, I'm looking forward this book, though.

And thanks for answering! :)

Awwww that's so sad, I hate that there are others who can't be accepting of someone who's different.

Really beautiful pic and I agree it is amazing that someone in 3rd grade wrote that story you mentioned =_= yet at the same time it makes you wonder just how sad is the child themselves or how can someone so young be understanding of anothers pain like that.
