My Bio
hi there

In short:
I'm Dave. I'm a graphic artist. I'm available for illustration freelance work and such.

a little bit more elaborate:
I'm still Dave. And I'd still be happy to illustrate whatever needs to be illustrated, be it for magazines, books (children's books, yes please), posters, ads ... you name it.

ummm ... what else is there?
I love music. I love literature. I love drawing. And I love to combine those three things. So I just add 'drawing' to 'music' by designing posters, artwork, merch and whatnot for bands and whoever needs something like that. Also, I always listen to really loud music when I draw. Sometimes I even draw musicians ... and whenever I have some time on my hands, I combine 'drawing' and 'literature' by working on my own graphic novel named '01, to be finished this year.

you have an idea that needs proper execution ... graphic wise (as in: you got a job for me) ... well: contact me!

Devious Journal Entry

Devious Journal Entry

a LOT of stuff happend since my last journal entry. looks like there's actually money in shirt prints, who would have known? since my first shirt being printed at Teefury I had numerous more prints (on TeeFury, but on other sites as well) and even sold some shirts and even designs myself. I created various pop culture designs (inspired by TV shows and such, Futurama, Twin Peaks, Breaking Bad and what-not) which sell well enough ... but the next big step just has to be crazy & really f'ed up original designs. This is the upside. Downside is that, even tho I do this to make money in order to creat & publish my graphic novel, it takes a lot of

and to-morrow and to-morrow well, TeeFury http://www.teefury.com will feature my design QRorschach tomorrow.  it's 10 bucks each (yes, $10 only) and it looks very much like that http://fav.me/d3ij2xs (because it IS that) and will be sold for 24hrs and 24hrs only. So in case you're into Alan Moore, Watchmen, or just like people taking pictures of you with their iPhones to decode the QR in the design ... there u go. oh and SHARE IF YOU LIKE that (fb, twitter, whatever you're into) In other news, I'm inking the hell out of '01. it's goinga bit slow, as I haven't as much time on my hands as I'd like to have, but it's lo

re-write and wrapping it up in progress

sooo ... now that most of the book is written ... there will be blood. and with "blood" I mean ink. and with "there will be" I mean ... I have to ink the actual pages. duh. right now I'm having a few changes to the prologue. there will be certain changes in all chapters, but the first few pages will see some major re-writes. like ... there won't be any nods to Cobain's suicide anymore. and it'll take place at a concert instead of a dorm room. anyway ... this is because I didn't really know where this was going when I started all this ... and now that I know, parts of the prologue don't fit any more. not a big thing, setting and a few sequenc

I love your work!
Just read through your Tee Fury Interview for today (8/11/2011), and I must say that I found it enlightening. My shirt designs have all been applied by handmade stencils and spray paint.
You've inspired me to try and get them into a more public outlet, like Tee Fury.
Hope to see more of your designs in the future!

P.S.
I LOVE Arrested Development, and if I had the money, I would have bought your shirt today. D:

hey, thank you.

I'm flattered. I just got into selling my artworks as print very recently and I'm still surprised what kind of feedback is available via the internet these days. I always lived under the assumption that none will recognize one artist amongst the gazillions out there, but really all it takes is a good idea, and the strength & will to promote it. Granted, working with shirt designs, you gonna have to take into account what's going to sell and what not, but I still produce designs that aren't pop-culture or funny tie-ins. hope to present them soon here.

it's lovely to hear that someone feels inspired by my work & words, so thank you.
keep up the good work (yr cosplay stuff is really cool, love FLCL), hope to see some of your stuff around some day :D

greetings from a faraway country named Germany,
-Dave
