I've Seen So Much by Kezzi-Rose I've Seen So Much by Kezzi-Rose
My gorge "new" Ajax folding camera, Genevieve! She's about 80-90 years old. Click here to see her from the side! Found her in a junk shop for just £6 <3

I'd love to find one..maybe someday!
Hey Kezzi, how did you learn about photography and get better at your skills?
I want to try and do vintage themes/ to my photos
but what do you use to add the different kinds of colors in your background and the bokeh<3?
I'm inspired by ya! :D

Sorry for my late reply to this!
I have never used any tutorials so all my pictures are a result of just experimenting with different angles, set-ups, Photoshop, etc. It's taken a while to perfect the methods but it's really fun to keep learning! You just have to take inspiration and play around with a lot of ideas/settings/effects until you are happy with what you've made c:
If you have Photoshop, a good way to add the "vintage" feel is through using the Colour Balance Mask (there are picture tutes on here for using that, I'm sure). With this, you can adjust the colours in your photos to bring out certain hues, like pinks, creams and blues, and desaturate the photo a little to make them more "dusky". Every photo is unique so play around with all of the Mask options to see what you can do!
With bokeh, you can either create it raw on your camera (by using a macro lens to have a sharp foreground object and blurred background; if there are lights in the background, they will become bokeh) or adding it artificially in Photoshop using a bokeh stock image (there are lots of those on here). Hope that helps! ♥

Good pick! Old cameras have something special on them; maybe because, though they're "old fashioned", they're still here, in the present.

Ive got a 70s Yashica-mat 128G, 120mm.. the biggest issue is that this cameras generally have no photometer, or in the best case, it doesnt work propperly, cause these are selenium photometers and they lost accuracy after some years.

But if you have another camera with a working photometer you can use that to measure, and the Ajax to take the shot. n.n

The quality of this 120mm cameras has no match! n.n

See you arround!

The jack!

This is a gorgeous camera! I'm thinking AJ for the first two letters in AJAX, or Ana for the first letters of Anastigmat on the side. :D But if you want boy names, I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of Daniel or James.

A beautiful camera. I love old fashioned stuff like that.
From this angle, it looks like a Dilan. Or Robert.

But if you want it to be a girl call it Claire.

i have a kodak one very similar to this one. my great uncle gave it to me when i went snooping around my great grandma's house. i dont think its quite as old as yours though. i actually have photos of my great grandma taking pictures of my grandmother when she was a baby.
and then i also got to take home a neat old typewriter that was just collecting dust. :aww:
i got to go on a treasure hunt that day heehee.
