Done in the start of year 11. Yes, a little morbid, but I got an A+ for it so I say excellent D haha. Our theme to work on was " Growth and Decay". I didn't want to take things so literally, so I did something a little bit less physical ( eg, not something like the growth and decay of a flower, yawn ). The growth and decay of cancer is something both physical and mental, the growth of the cancer, and the physical and mental decay of the individual. The piece is taken from a movie called 'Wit', and I faded and darkened the colours to give the painting a more decaying and dieing feel. Hehe, don't worry, not all of my work is this morbid . I just think it's well done.
An amazing drawing very powerful..makes me sad looking at it ..its really amazing
This is a rockin', and totally worthy of that A+ you got!! I just wish the full-view wasn't quite so big...I can't see it all at once on my monitor
This really hits home. I just had a brain tumor removed and it turned out to now be cancer but looking at this makes me relize that fate I could have had to face.
*Fave* Awesome job.
*Fave* Awesome job.
Wow really well done sketch, it's sets a real good dark mode in the air. I worked in a hospital before and I saw patients like these to, was really depressing. "The patients I saw were more in the long term care ward with Alzhimers, but there both terrible diseases.
very powerful, esp the eyes.
This is a stuning drawing. It's tone is morbid, the man is sick, you can see that. Teroor. A fantastic job man
Nicely done. I particularly like the faded/washed out look.
Omg, a friend's father died of cancer 3 weeks back.. God this pic brings up memories... Really great job..
Yeh, this picture is kind of weird actually. I did it at the start of the year. Then, about september, my dad had a tumour in one of his kidneys and had it taken out, and then he got a tumour in his foot and had to have that taken out too!. This picture kind of freaks me out now, lol, like I had a vision of the future or something muhaha. But yeh, I think it's well done.
