My first work in over two years.
After the death of my brother I lost my voice for a time. Understandably so. My energies were focussed on his case and the fighting for justice.
That all came to an end when I realized there was nothing I could do to hold to account those who tried to destroy my brother and succeeded.

But the voice came back when it chose to. The image doesn't do this one justice I feel.
If you know the story of Absalom, then you'll know the deeper meaning of this piece.

Thank you all for sticking by me and checking in over these past two years.

So many ways to be undone.

I lost my voice thanks to the meds fog of an infected disk. Surgery tomorrow to clean it up. Then we shall see.

Oh, yes. God's justice triumphs in the end, even if the end is beyond our seeing or knowing.

Welcome back, brother. I'm mostly out of it still with an infected disk. Healing takes time.

Glad the voice has returned. It's been a very hard road for you and this piece reflects a bit that...there is a vigor in this like that of a tiger about to pounce. I salute your resilience! :salute:

Kevin, good to have you back, and to hear your voice once again.  Absalom is one of those stories where it seems like no one comes away from it clean, but yet, Grace somehow prevails in ways that we may never really understand.

powerful image, even if it doesn't do justice to the original.

Blessings to you, brother.  You have a voice which speaks deeply to the lost and hurting....

and yet even with all that happened with Absalom, David mourned his death
it was the circumstances he knew he could not control that overcame David's soul
his leaving, his loss of voice among the masses, his time of crushing defeat

his return a transformation never to be undone

"well done" means nothing, I know.....but my heart is glad to see this
