Supplies make all the difference in the world for a few reasons;
1. They are made for drawing, so no worries about that its the stuff your using and not you.
2. You will feel more confident if you have a self-assembled art kit. Sort of, "I chose each thing carefully to suit my needs, and so I must have some idea of what I'm doing."
3. They won't be used for anything else, ensuring their integrity and quality.

+1 Medium to soft lead pencil (dark)
+1 Ultra-super-duper-mega-uber fine point marker (black)
