Let me start off by saying that this is a marvelous piece of work. It stands out as one of the most well crafted animations that I have...

Death from Above - AWA 14 Preview
You have to be careful around pretty women when you're a tiny person.

You never know when their giant body parts will come falling down on you. And they're usually too big to avoid...

Hi everybody!

So, over the course of A Weekend Alone's run, I've often seen a lot of questions or comments that have been repeated in some way or form. In an attempt to address these definitively, I am writing this entry. Hopefully, this will set the record straight on some things.

1. "Will there be any nudity or explicit sexual content in A Weekend Alone?" - No. There will be nothing of the sort in A Weekend Alone. The reason for this is the illustrator, Jieun, does not like drawing nudity and anything explicit. By the same token, I do not like writing anything of that nature.

2 "Are the characters getting smaller with each issue?" No. I have always intended the shrunken people to be very, very small. They were bigger in earlier issues because Jieun was a novice at drawing Giantess related material, so he didn't quite understand what I wanted. Over time, with experience, he has gotten much better at drawing the material which is why we see much better shrunken visuals now than we did earlier on. Every now and then there are some hiccups, but that's to be expected. Jieun tries his best.

3 "Why does it take so long for issues to come out?" - This one has a lot of reasons. Obviously it takes time write and then fully illustrate a 20 page comic, and then there are usually other scripts that are waiting in line to be produced. While we can sometimes push A Weekend Alone ahead, that's not always possible. In addition, sometimes unexpected things happen. Jieun, the illustrator, lost some assistants helping him with projects while also suffering a death in the family last year, which Issue 12 took a awhile in being released.

4 "Why could Sarah see the tiny people were actually people, but Valerie couldn't?" - The people are small enough that you usually won't see them unless you're looking for them. And if you do happen to see them, at first glance they will look like gnats or something. Only close examination will you be able to make out what they really are. In issue four, Neil was able to guide Sarah by climbing to her ear and talking to her. Once Sarah was aware of their presence she could focus her senses enough to actually hear them.

EDIT - I forgot to mention: This is also a deliberate design choice for Valerie, as I have plans that will make her bad vision more relevant in the future.

5. “Why does it feel like the story is taking too long to have a point?” - I've gotten this criticism a lot recently with A Weekend Alone. And it's a perfectly valid point. Admittedly, I have been dragging out the series. Partially because Jieun is such a tremendous artist and I always love seeing what he comes up with and I love creating new scenarios for him to draw. Back around when Valerie was introduced, along with Isaac, I had a clear plan for A Weekend Alone and even thought it would be over by Issue 10. But then I feel in love with Valerie and wanted to do some more with her real quick. Then, I wanted to do something with Mary-Jean. Then with Valerie again. And now, here we are at Issue 13. I apologize to the readers if things felt dragging and hope they at least took some pleasure in the scenarios I wanted to explore, even if they were somewhat of a tangent.

Things will pick up a little more in Issue 14. Not by too much, but something will happen that will benefit Sarah and give her more ability to become more active in the story. Which brings me to...

6. “Will we see more comics focused on Sarah?” - Yes! Originally, Issue 14 was going to be that issue. That changed, unfortunately, but the good news is that Issue 15 will be a very special issue for more than one reason...one of them being that it will be very Sarah heavy! But it will also set the stage for a more focused A Weekend Alone, one that will hopefully feel like it's going somewhere with its story

I want to thank everyone who has stuck with A Weekend Alone for so long. I end this with a fun factoid

Wrath of Mary-Jean - A Weekend Alone 14 Preview
It's well known that Mary-Jean hates bugs. The instant she sees them, SPLAT! That's her automatic reaction.

It becomes especially problematic when she MIGHT be crushing more than just spiders under her high heels...

This is a preview for A Weekend Alone 14, written by me and illustrated by Jieun Studios.

Huh. That's actually really cool. First time I've seen somebody share admiration with me about Elizabeth rather than Sarah, Mary-Jean, or Valerie.

Waiting until February may make so stressful so if several spoiler images are uploaded, they could relieve stress.
