It was a quick test task for applying a job in a small VFX company I did a week ago. Well did I pass? Yes and no. I passed but refused to work there after I checked the working conditions. Anyway I got the render and here you go :)

Woah, now that looks truely game-ready, and I don't mean a game like Counterstrike 1.6, but a game like Crysis 3 o.O:wow:

It looks like what i would like to achieve one good day with textures that is ... (it looks good man :P )
May i ask how you handled the holes for the rockets ? did you used 3ds max boolean operations ? or just a projection of a cylinder/circle and then the cut tool ?

Thanks for appreciating the texture work. To be honest it was quite a task for me at start. But I did consult with one of my friends who is pro at this subject so after a short lecture I managed to achieve this result. Quite a draft one actually but it's a matter of practice to improve.
As for holes.. Well the whole geometry is turbosmooth ready (surprise!) and holes were made using circles projection (with low interpolation). But the very same result could be achieved with booleans since it's the very same basic idea behind.

I really do appreciate the texture work and thank you so much for taking away from your time to make those wireframe renders and explaining the technique!
