The Book of the Sword Cover

This is the cover art I made for a book named The Book of the Sword: The Darkest Age Volume 2 by A.J. Lake

I made this one for the German Edition by Ravensburger.
My original sketch for this cover looked like this:

But they wanted the dragon to be the center of attention so I came up with this... But having spent so much time
on the riders I couldn't bear to just get rid of them so I downscaled and placed them at the bottom. So I guess
the work I put in the original sketch was not a total waste of time

I'll send the volume three soon.
