Today I decided to show off to the Kinoshita cousins.
Being an Elelmental, I'm able to create powerful flames! Red hot fire carefully crafted from my Ki!
An amazing skill that comes with a drawback; I often accidently take from my physical form...
I'm part energy. When I run out of Ki, my body can exchange mass for extra Ki...
Thus creating my humiliating side effect; regressing down into babyhood...
It's enough to make me hesitant when playing with fire.
That's why I've been working on a new style!
Instead of releasing my attacks, I allow my Ki to flow through my hands and heat up my body.
This extra heat increase allows me to move faster, hit harder, and create fiery aura punches!
That's right! Knil's not the only one running around now with hands coated in Ki!
For me, it works by releasing a minimal amount of Ki at the end of a strike,
creating and awesome visual flair that conveys my new strength!
Naturally, I wanted to show Sam...
Purely so my rival knows what she's up against the next time we face off on the battlefield!
She mocked me for telling her this, ultimately agreeing to watch me due to Max,
the little guy is just as interested in Soul Styles as Knil; it's adorable.
Despite her excuse, I knew Sam wanted to watch as well.
Heading outside, things went well.
I experly channeled my Ki, keeping my fire beneath my skin while maintaining my heat.
I displayed every move in my arsenal! The air filled with the sounds of mini explosions!
Max was amazed by the sight of flames burning through the air, highlighting my hits!
Sam watched intently, not even bothering to pretend like she was uninterested!
Demonstrating my new fighting technique had been a complete success!
Until it came to an end...
Exhausted, I finished up. Wayward flames flickering into the wind as I released the heat.
Triumph and proud, I posed, turning my back to the duo as I flexed my arm for them.
But here's the thing. My new technique still costs SOME Ki, and I showed off a lot!
Caught up in the heat of the moment, I failed to feel my clothes grow baggy.
They are new, not yet coated in my Ki and capable of changing with me,
so by the time I noticed the very minimal height loss, it was too late.
My pants slipped down my smaller legs, displaying my underwear!
Sam laughed at the sight of my turtle-print underwear.
Max was blushing at the humiliating sight.
I regressed even further...
Caught up in my emotions, I released a little more energy, knocking me down a few years.
By the time I was done, I was back in my 4-year-old form, swimming in baggy clothing.
Thankfully, though humiliatingly, Max lent my some of his clothes...
They too were baggy, the small boy now bigger than me...
Nothing compared to Sam's playful taunting...
So my display wound up being a bust.
Now I'm struggling to write this; forced to write on the floor, barely able to hold the pencil...
But I guess it's not too bad. I'll be back to my usual self in the morning.
Plus I learnt what I need to work on to perfect this technique!
All in all, a good day despite the humiliation...
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to use the potty-
Bathroom! I need to use the bathroom!
I know this isn't exactly a new image (coming from a comic) but it was this or nothing
Personally, I really loved this panel, and wanted to write up a shorter story about it,
better detailing the situation and what exactly Ken is showing off.
Images featured were done by Story was designed and written by me..
I like seeing the life from a different point of view. Definitely a different writing style. Knil's more intellectual, wanting to be a hero, and Ken's showing off, and boisterous side.
Reminds me of the Kane Chronicles. Carter and Sadie's point of view is radically different from each other.
Never heard of Kane's chronicles, but that is cool.
And yeah, I want to capture a good point of view to all them.
I wouldn't say Knil is intellectual, more just honest and confident, seeing things like an adventure and chance for fun, while Ken see's life as a game, a challenge to overcome while giving it all he's got.
Fair. I had a hard time wording it. It seemed to start with insecurities in Knil's case, but the confidence grew. Despite his sensitivity to his height.
And Ken's a fun narrator. So intense.
Kaine Chronicles is another set of books of Rick Riordan, set with Egyptian gods instead. I like Percy Jackson, but Kaine Chronicles was actually better written. (Although my favourite series of his to date is the Trials of Apollo.)
