Frankly I'm tired of people asking for free art.
People ask me a lot if I would draw something for them for free. I get how they might think it's okay. Art is fun, right?
The problem lies in the fact that art takes time and doing art for free once you reach a level where others are willing to pay for your art, these people are asking you to give them your time -- or money, if you believe in "time is money" or potential revenue, you economics majors -- for free.
But wait! What if they're offering you advertisement or exposure to more audiences?
It might appear to be a form of payment at first, but when your art is advertised, what happens then? If other people see your art, it doesn't mean that they're willing to pay you for it too. They might also ask you to do it for free. There are a lot of ways to get exposure for yourself. You know yourself best so you should be the best person to market yourself. Not to mention, you will probably spend less time and effort on the whole affair so you can focus on your
