Tracy's Birth - A Short Story
We begin on a nice summer day when suddenly, a car starts speeding at a rapid rate.
Wendy: (doing her Lamaze breaths) Ohhhhh....
Welsey: Don't worry, Wendy. We're almost there. (he notices that the car stopped) Rocky, why did we stop?
Rocky: (has stopped at a drive-thru) Yeah, man, I'll have 3 cheeseburgers...
Wesley: Rocky, for god's sake! She's having a baby!
Rocky: Oh, right. And a kid's meal. I guess I'll have fries. Does anyone here want fries? I mean, I don't wanna eat them all or I'll feel fat.
The scene changes to Wesley with Wendy in a wheelchair, they head to the receptionist
Welsey: Nurse! My wife is in labor!
Random Karen: (cuts in) Excuse me! I was here first! My leg is asleep...
The scene changes to Wesley, Wendy and the doctor in the delivery room
Wesley: (talking to his dad on the phone) Yeah. Yeah, it's happening right now! I told you the due date! Your calendar got covered in honey? And you're drunk, too?! (groans) Alright, we'll send pictures.
