Sometimes I'm contacted by a model interested in shooting and when I look at her portfolio I find that she's covered with tattoos. Not a little ankle starfish or butterfly in the small of the back. I mean a huge swath of ink across the chest or elsewhere.
I have no desire to interfere with someone's self-expression and creativity but it's just that I can't create new art with a model that is already has such a strong graphic statement on her body.
I want my photos to be purely about the beauty of the female form, not about the tattoo artist's craft.
Don't know if other photographers feel this way. And I really don't mean to offend anyon
