Welcome to this tutorial!
You may wondering about the last two words of the title, I know it's kinda strange and most people would rather do it on desktop,
but when it comes to you have no laptop/PC by hand and you really wanna edit your profile page,
this little tutorial probably will help you.
Apps that we need
A HTML Editor!
For andriod, you can use anWriter!
Well...I don't have an iphone, probably you can try this one
If you're on desktop, I recommend using Sublime Text
A photo editor
~ Let's start with manage the widgets on profile page ~
First, open the puffin browser and go to your DA profile page, duh.
Also remember to request the desktop website.
Click on the "edit page" button on the top-right corner
There're 3 buttons on the bot-left, from left to right, is:
joystick, mouse, keyboard
Open the mouse and put thr cursor on the "三" of the widget you want to change its priority, let's put the journal to the top here.
Put two fingers on the trackpad to drag and drop,
just keep dragging up until the priority is correct.
After changed, back to the profile page, the display priority of the
widget should be changed, too.
Pretty up your content
You mostly likely noticed, this journal is "dark-themed". Just some simple tricks here:
change the background of the journal, then set the default text color to white.
Since we're involving HTML here, I recommend checkout 's
tutorial first to understand some basic html. \Links here/
Change journal background without core membership:
has made a tutorial that shows how to do this, here's the link:
But here, we're doing this on mobile
Go to the page that links above, find the basic template in the infos and copy them.
Open your Hyper Text Markup Language(HTML) editor,
don't do this in browser, it'll be extremely painful.
If you're a little picky like me, the code misses 3 <\div> tags,
tap on the editor and open up your keyboard, then press 'Enter' to add a new line.
You don't have to type the tag-end symbol by yourself here,
just click on the '</' button on the tool bar below the screen,
the editor will auto complete it.
Now scroll right, find the place where we need to paste the backgroud image link,
here's the image I used in this journal, it's 1900*40000(size ~1MB),
should be long enough, link: i.imgur.com/xHgwAlg.jpg
Time to put it to the test, hit the preview button on the bottom-right,
you should see a all black page as the picture shows.
Next part, we gotta change the color of the text or we couldn't see anything.
has posted a little hack to text coloring without core,
How it works is to using the CSS-styled class that already defined in deviantart,
so even if we don't have core, we can still color it!
There're only some colors available, but better than nothing.
I also copied <span...> here, but in fact you just need to copy the class
statemet since the color information is stored in it.
Paste it between the <div balala> and </div>
Here, we can always change the 'span' to other HTML tags, in this case we change it to 'div', which stands for section.
Don't forget to add '</div>' afterward.
Type random texts
Please notice that we're using the DA's internal class here,
so hit the preview here is futile, gotta copy&paste to DA.
Into the journal edit page, first thing we need to do is switch to HTML mode,
therefore we can paste our codes without extra bugs(hopefully).
To preview, also don't hit the preview button, DA did a bad job on mobile platform,
it will display nothing, instead, switch back to rich editing mode.
Niceee! Now you learned how to doing some beautification here,
there're tons of tutorial on DA about custom the profile page and
you can do it with these handy tools on mobile now!
Besides HTML formatting above, there're bunch of tricks makes your content cooler,
including add pictures by <img src="IMAGE_LINK">, using other text color/font,
thumb stamp etc. and tutorials are already here on DA wait for you to learn.
