Saki Ming
Species: Hawlucha
Age: 21 Gender: Female
Nature: Quirky; Highly Persistent
Appearance: Saki hails from the rural outskirts of Xin Tou. A shorter than average Hawlucha, Saki always has some kind of smile on her face with an aura that make her approachable. Her expression only changes when the situation calls for it or when she's being completely serious, but that normally means something is off or wrong.
Her red beak is a little more rounded than usual and has patches of white that go to her cheeks. Her bright orange crest feathers are longer than usual, which she generally keeps in a ponytail that reaches to her shoulder level. She has an overall athletic build made to take on crime. True to her preferred moniker, Saki never dilly dallies. She is constantly on the lookout for those in need or something to keep her occupied. Not to mention she’s got a flair for cool poses when given the chance to do so.
She typically carries around a navy blue shawl for holding items or as a blanket or what have you.
Description: Following what she believes to be her hero's path, Saki does everything at 110%, and is never one to tucker out or back down easily. She admires heroes and hopes to become a hero herself. Of course, every hero needs a grand entrance so you can bet she’s studied dramatic entrances. Saki loves nothing more than putting on a show. Her fights are typically filled with theatrics and displays of strengths and most importantly, agility. She isn’t completely self-centered by any means though. Her strong sense of justice can be misguided at times, but nevertheless, she seeks to do the right thing. She can appear somewhat standoffish and curt when you first meet her admittedly but she’s quick to warm up to you.
On the plus side, Saki is very sociable and a fun-loving individual. She’s a bright, energetic, and jovial spirit that likes wandering around and experiencing new things. With an ever constant smile and an aura that makes it easy for people to approach and conversant with her. Saki is very sociable, not afraid to initiate conversation. Yes, she is that ‘icebreaker’ kind of girl. In truth, she just doesn’t want anyone to feel left out or feel shy, so she takes the dive for starting something up.
She’s very headstrong though. Once she sets her mind on something she never goes back on her word. She may not always have the most straight-forward method of getting things done with her tendency to get sidetracked and distracted, but she always ends up back on what she sets out to do.
Her temper may flair at times but she’s not one to hold grudges. She's not one to sweat the small things nor is she one to stay in a bad mood for long. If anything, her inextinguishable spirit and optimism stem from her belief that 1) bad things don't last, everything will fall into place and all will be well, and 2) everyone, no matter what, always has a little bit of good in them.

Jezebel
Species: Croagunk (shiny)
Age: 22 Gender: Female
Nature: Impish; Likes to relax
Appearance: Jezebel appears an inch taller than what is considered average for her kind. Being a shiny her skin is a bright aquamarine and has bright red-violet colored expandable pouches on her cheeks. She has a slight gap between her front teeth and can be found constantly whistling through it when bored. Due to her Greninja heritage her hands and feet are webbed but they are only ever noticeable when she’s in the water.
While she doesn’t slouch, Jezebel tends to have a rather unbalanced posture. She's a somewhat thin in build, though she has noticeable muscle tone in her legs and arms, indicative of her swimming habits. Allowing surprising feats of speed in skill where strength is lacking.
Jezebel can often be seen wearing her trademark purple hood, the back having an Arbok inspired pattern. The pattern is a red and yellow eyespot outlined with black, a wide streak resembling a mouth and a V-shaped stripe above the face pattern. When not on the job, or just spending the day with what little friends she has, she has a tendency to dress in fashion trends of her own. While she doesn’t mind trends that everyone seems to go with she prefers to not try and blend with the crowd. Her fashion choice ranges from cute to grunge and punk style.
Description: Jezebel looks unsociable at first glance. She’s the kind of girl that may look like your stereotypical bad girl and trouble maker. She’ll rob you blind without realizing it and you’d best stay away from her and such, but you’d be wrong…! A little… Kinda…
Okay so perhaps she is a bit of a trouble maker after all and has a moderate case of kleptomania but who can blame her? Everyone already suspects her of wrong doing before getting to know her so why not? Being a Poison type doesn’t help but what can you do? Blame her impish nature I suppose. She doesn’t particularly care to be honest.
Like most Croagunks, she is as relaxed as can be. Carefree too, or maybe, sometimes too carefree. If she ever did anything bad she wouldn’t care. She would just let it pass and enjoy the rest of the day as if nothing happened. Her facial features often take that of a mischievous if not amused smile, or an irritated exasperation if you somehow managed to annoy or otherwise anger her. Most of the time however, she prefers to be away from the crowd, not because she doesn't like social interaction, but rather of her own personal preference.
She’s not one to turn down a fight and definitely isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. She likes a good bout of rough and tumble and can get slightly lost in it, sometimes becoming slightly too rough with people. She’s quite likely to start one actually. Only with the friendliest of intentions of course. While she’s not as skilled as her friend Soleil she makes up for it with tricks and dirty fighting.
While many of her actions are perhaps a bit morally ambiguous, she is usually a good person and avoids hurting people if possible. Unless they’re really asking for it of course. At times, she can be a little flirtatious; mostly towards anyone she finds interesting, cute, or 'tease-able" regardless of gender. Though she's never serious about it, it's all just for the fun, she'd say.
It’s worth noting that while she is very outwardly friendly if you manage to interact with her, don’t trust her grinning face. There are very few circumstances in which she will wholeheartedly trust anyone. She is actually pretty friendly once you get to know her however, although she still retains a bit of her snarky sense of humor. Just don’t expect her to get all touchy feely with you. She’ll joke at your expense, greet you by jumping on your back, and just plain tease you. The few friends she actually does have mean more to her than she is willing to admit though.

>>> Writing Area <<<
It was a relatively quiet night. The moon cast just enough light onto Tabiria and its surrounding areas to see without aid. A lone figure stood motionless, staring at the sky before making her move. She leapt from rooftop to rooftop, ever vigilant.
Saki had spotted three suspicious-looking figures lurking in the back alleys: a Nidoran, a Heatmore and a Scrafty. The later their leader no doubt about it. She could tell just from looking at them that they were unsavory, thuggish-looking types. Of course, looks could be deceiving and what kind of hero of justice would she be if she accused every unpleasant looking person around.
The leader snickered however, his feet skipping over the uneven pavement, so very pleased with himself. And what was this? An old lady’s wallet was casually being thrown up and down as the other two members fist bumped and high fived each other. Celebrating their latest caper no doubt.
There was no mistaking it now. These had to be that rowdy gang that had been causing trouble recently. It had been only minor offenses until recently but now she couldn’t look the other way. A shame Jezebel didn’t want to come patrolling with her. She’d never approve something as reckless as she would call it. It didn’t matter though. Even by her lonesome, she knew she had the skill and charisma to take these punks down.
First however, she needed to set the scene. On her own she looked fairly cool standing on this roof, but it wasn’t enough. She needed something more dynamic, something that would make her look more than just a bird standing mindlessly on a roof. She turned to a nearby building and had a thought. From there the moon would be right behind her.
“Perfect!”
Saki quickly hopped on top of the other building, standing atop the thin peak on top. While not an easy task it was always preferable to make an introduction. A gentle breeze even made her shawl sway a little. “Yeah… Yeah this is gonna look awesome!” She grinned as she looked forward once again, adjusting her shawl as she took on last glance at the bright moon behind her.
She was so ready for this.
“Halt evildoer!” She shouted.
The small gang turned to the nearby roof, where they saw a Hawlucha silhouetted by the bright moonlight. The Scrafty cocked an eye as he stared at Saki’s shadow before turning to his companions. “The hell was that? Is that bird talkin’ to us?”
As if hearing her cue, Saki slowly turned her head up towards the delinquents. Her eyes glared at them as she crossed her arms and shook her head in disappointment. “Tsk tsk. You would steal from a defenseless old lady. You punks have a lot of nerve committing such a heinous ask.” Saki said with a stern, noble tone. “I cannot allow such injustice to take place. Not while I’m around.”
As she continued her heroic speech about right and wrong and how they must be punished, the three Pokemon bellow her looked at each other in confusion. Eventually the Scrafty leader spook up. “What?”
“I said, I cannot allow such injustice to take place. Not while I’m around. And if you think that you can-”
“WHAT?!”
“Don’t make me repeat myself!” The Hawlucha pointed a finger at him with an irritated tone.
“We can’t here you from down here you crazy broad!”
“I said-! No wait-! Fine! Hold on a second!”
She lept off the roof as she nosedived before flipping in the air with her wings spread to soften her landing. She landed on the ground in a crouching position, feet wide apart and supporting her weight with one hand on the floor while the other hand was outstretched away from her body, pointed diagonally upwards. She had her head down and paused for a bit for dramatic effect before snapping her head up, glaring at them.
“None shall take what doesn’t belong to them. I suggest you give that back right now or else things are gonna get messy.”
The Nidoran and the Heatmore didn’t seem to know how to react. The Scrafty, on the other hand, snickered before giving a vicious glare, and stomped towards her menacingly. “Listen here, pipsqueak,” the Scrafty growled. “We ain’t got time for playing games. So why don’t you run along now and go play here somewhere else. ‘Kay?” He said, ruffling her crest feathers.
Big mistake.
Saki smirked as pulled back a fist, which became engulfed in flames. The Scrafty didn’t have time to respond before her fist connected with his abdomen. The Scrafty landed hard on the ground and groaned as he held his mouth. He glared as he looked over the Hawlucha and pointed at her. “G-get her!”
The Heatmore snorted, a puff of smoke coming out of his nose before firing a spiral of flames at her. Saki laughed as she lept around, dodging the flames with ease. “Hah hah! Did you really think it would be that easy to strike – Oh gods!”
The Nidoran was already before her, and performing a jumping kick attack. Saki barely brought her arms up in time to block, but then lost her balance and fell back. “…. Ouch.”
The Nidoran moved in for another attack but suddenly stopped when his ears twitched at the sounds on an incoming passerby. “Boss, we gotta split!”
“Tch!” The Scrafty gritted his teeth as the Heatmore helped him up. “You won’t be lucky next time!” He said before the three made a break for it.
Saki groaned as she rubbed her cheek where the Nidoran kicked her. She made a mental note to do less talking and more fighting. She quickly got up and gave chase. “H-halt! You can’t escape from justice and – seriously though get back here!”
Giving credit where credit was due, these punks were fast and slippery. She always felt one step behind and for a moment she thought she lost them. Until she heard a commotion going on a nearby ally. It had to be them.
“H-Hah! Got you evildoers. No one escapes – huh?” Saki stopped and rose her brow as she turned the corner. All three of those punks were now down and groaning softly in pain. Another vigilante? A rival? Or worse, some other gang was nearby.
“Figured you’d be here.”
Saki flailed her hands as she turned around in surprise. Before her stood a Croagunk with her hood on, giving her a toothy grin as her yellow eyes seemed to glow in the now pale moonlight. “Oh jeez, don’t do that! You almost gave me a heart attack Jessie,” Saki let out a sigh, holding a hand over her beating chest.
“Guess I have that kind of look,” Jezebel shrugged. “Look, you know I don’t really mind all this but the boss’ll be pissed if he found out you skipped the night shift to play vigilante again.”
“But there was hero work I had to do,” Saki whined. “You know how important these patrols are to me. I can’t be behind schedule.”
“Pretty sure our boss won’t see it that way. Lucky for you I covered for you, so, you’re welcome. As a bonus I got these punks for you.” Jezebel grinned as she pulled out the stolen wallet. “I needed to blow off some steam.”
“Did you do the pose and speech before you got them?!” Saki asked, star eyed.
“Uhh… no. No I didn’t.”
“Oh c’mon! It’s no fun if you don’t do it right.”
Unbeknownst to the two, the Scrafty leader grunted as he got up. He glared daggers at the two Pokémon that ruined what had been a good night. He cried out as he charged at them, his hand pulled back to ready a Karate Chop.
“Jessie! Look out!” Saki said as she moved in between them. She dipped both of her knees, bracing a foot in front of the other solidly against the ground. Her right hand dipped down to her waist, the fist turned so that it was facing directly upwards. Heat quickly built up around her hand and soon her fist was enveloped in flames. Before the Scrafty could react she suddenly sprang upwards out of her crouch, leaping straight upwards, launching her flaming fist upwards and connecting with the Scrafty’s chin.
“Rising Dragon Punch!” Saki declared as she spun in the air 360 degrees, her flaming fist leaving a small spiral of flames in the air for a moment before she landed on the ground again. Her opponent crashed hard on the floor and was out cold. That delivery had been perfect.
“Well… thanks I guess. I could have gotten that you know,” Jezebel said, voice indifferent.
“N-No problem,” Saki panted, flashing her a small smile. “Okay, be serious… that Fire Punch right now… how awesome was that?”
Jezebel tapped her chin a bit as she considered for a moment. “…. Seven out of ten. Meets expectations.”
“Shoot! Oh well, I’m getting there!” Saki shouted proudly. “O-Oh you should have seen my entrance earlier. It was awesome!”
“Did you do that hero landing again? Y’know that’s really hard on your knees, no matter how cool it makes you look. Pretty impractical when you think about it.”
“Oh c’mon, it was necessary! Besides, this is perfect practice for when we eventually join the guilds.”
“Whatever you say Saki.” Jezebel settled her hood more securely over her shoulders and glanced towards the large tree that stood at center of town. “Anywho, better get back to our jobs. I don’t want to sit through another lecture on being on time and such.”
Saki practically skipped ahead of her friend to pump her fist proudly in the air. “Look out, Tabiria! Your heroes are on their way!”
